Did you had to chande the motor gear and did you do any wheel mods, like adding some wheel extensions? I was looking to ad some mt4g3 tires to my hyper 9e and wondering what mods do i need to do. PraetoR Posted February 27, 2015 Share Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) Decided to give my Mad Rat X2 a bit of tlc in the form of new wheels with Pro-Line Dirt Hawgs and a new shell. Shell is from the Associated B4, as you don't get Mad Rat shells anymore and I don't like the look of the cab-forward Team C Jekyll body. Decided to sticker-bomb the spoiler. Never done it before. I was shocked at how many stickers I went through, sticker-bombing is expensive! Looks cool though. And, of course, my trusty Mad Rat Pirate flag adds AT LEAST 150 scale horsepower! Unfortunately, the B4 shell is a very poor fit. I've had to trim the front of the shell to the point where there is a gap through to the steering servo, plus the whole shell doesn't hug the chassis like the original. The gap at the front looks a bit naff and I'm worried about crud getting in, so I'm thinking of using some orange wing end-plates I have, to make into some F1-style side-wings, that will hide the gaps a bit and also act as mud guards.
