Started off in the winter when I bought my Dad a well used Escort WRC TT-01 as a winter project for him to 'restore'. We used a lot of the fantastic modification tips from the posts on here. Anyway, while he was doing that I bought a Mini on a M03 chassis, patched up the body and added a few Monte Carlo stickers after doing a few things to the suspension and making a small sump guard After my Dad finished off his Escort I decided I'd quite like a TT-01 as well and had always liked the old Audi Quattro rally cars since I was really young. Bought a Carson Quattro shell a few months ago and built up a chassis from parts bought off the internet and finished mine off yesterday. I over-did the smoked windows, they're almost black and I didn't make such a good job of putting the stickers on, but from a distance it's ok. But with different drcasl and wings on ect. Here are a couple of shots I took in the basement: I set up a small course the goes around the pylons and around the stairs. It is a lot of fun drifting it around the tight corners and when I pull it off just right it is a blast. I'm going to try to get a video of it and post it up. I'd be driving it outside but there is about a foot of snow on the ground. For now it is running a Vapor Pro ESC from a WR8 and a Castle 4600kv 4-pole motor. This is my first Tamiya for about 20 years, the shell is amazing but for the price the rest of the car is a bit pants. Plastic propshafts?! And what is a rally car without a rally driver.
