  3. I just looked at the pdf and yes it looks like the stock WR8 out drive cups/spur gear and the bevel gear will bolt right up. That is some cool stuff!
  4. Looking at the unit you linked it looks like you could also use it as a center spool. That would probably be the most helpful all around. On and off a race course and just plain tooling around on asphalt. Now one of you guys just needs to find a spur gear that will bolt to it. ;-) This is all really cool stuff... I may have to go pick up another chassis. Lol.

  7. Almost forgot to mention... on the rear Jazzrider uprights you may want to use different hardware other than what was supplied. IIRC they supplied m3x8mm cap screws and they should really be m3x12mm or there abouts. Other than that they were great (and yeah they arrived in less than a week for me too). Mike
  8. Yeah I did like the Jazzrider parts, the fit and finish on them were great. I never ran them but the assembly went nice and smooth and they came with hardware and or bearings (front knuckles came with hardware and the rear uprights came with bearings.). I'd recommend them.
  9. No you're right I'm still getting rid of it. I just need to building so I can sell it as a chassis ready to run. Building it is half the fun I suppose.
  10. Just wanted to let you guys know I've begun the WR8 build. The process is as awesome as I remember it ;-) The Diffs are built- all new front, rear, and mostly new center (I reused the diff case!). They sure look beautiful before they get dirty don't they? Also got the jazz rider knuckles on and the integy CVDs. The front and rear suspension are coming together! That's it for now... I'm sleepy ttyl!
  11. It's close, I would probably need another screw kit, some steering hardware and electronics. I've had a few trade offers come in on Rctech so far so people are seeing it and interested at the least.
  12. That would require me to buy more parts for it, not really something I want to do at the moment with the GT8 project going on.
  13. True, I don't think I'll be able to get retail for all the hop ups if I sold them seperate either though. Part of me really wants to build it too. lol
  14. Yeah the GT is going to be beast! I can't wait to get it together. I updated the pictures of the WR8 and assorted parts. I actually found some parts and wheels I forgot I had. lol. It is going to be practically new when get it together. I just not sure if I should assemble it stock and sell of the hop ups or assemble it with all the hop ups and sell it that way... Someone help me make up my mind.

  16. Oh awesome! You are going to like the car, it is a bunch of fun to run all over the place. If you are looking for cheap-o wheels pick up a set of these in Yellow, Black or White. They will at least get you out there!
  17. What happened to your stock motor Stevo? As much as I like the 3800kv with the 5mm shat I really think the stock 4000kv motor is a perfect match to the chassis on either 2 or 3s. Now if they offered the 4000kv with a 5mm shaft that would be the bees knees.
  18. The stock motor shaft is 3mm or .118". If you are using imperial measurements they usually round it up to .125" or 1/8".

  21. No problem. I don't get it either, it seems like it would be an important part to stock. Maybe it was just and oversight with all the crazy supplier/distributer restructuring.
  22. The replacements I used were m2.5 x 10. I could not find the mythical HPI part number so I ordered some Team Associated phillips head screws. They worked out great.
  23. Haha well said ;-) when talking about the WR8 I've described in it the same way. Especially with the stock gymkhana tires on it. It will stick to the ground and if you push it hard enough it will try to rip it out from underneath the chassis ;-) Watch any of the Ken Block gymkhana short films and that is pretty much what it feel like to drive the WR8.
  24. 4.7lbs seems pretty close. FWIW Mine weight in at a little over 5lbs ready to run with a 3s pack in it.
  25. Well the front brace was fine, you need to modify/lengthen the rack brace so it will connect to the front diff.
