  1. Could you not just measure the bore of the shock and look for some caps from a different shock thats the same type? E.G. volume diapham caps if thats what it has? Sorry if i seem dumb by saying that aha, ive just always thought it will work.
  2. Well the top CC01 has a lowering kit on it so it has about 20mm les ground clearance less than a normal CC01. How much more is a normal CC01? Or is that too "offroad" for you? The MF01X seems more like a TA02 rally car in terms of what it'll do, especially the Jimny. From looking on google the MF01X seems pretty capable and the rally blocks on the Jimny are unbelieveably grippy on tarmac and grass if thats what your gardens like? Patio/paving and grass/astroturf?
  3. Is it normal to have excessive play in the center drive-line of an scx10? Mine seems to have loads of play between the front and rear shafts?

      Depends what you call excessive... Between the pins/hexes engaging, the prop shaft connection to the gearbox engaging, prop shaft connection to axles engaging, and all those cogs with gaps in, mine has around 1/8 of a wheels turn of play... Never been a problem.

  7. Yep, thats the kit i was on about. Im only looking at it because my 7mm hex driver wont fit in the tube to tighten the rear wheels, meaning i have to do them with the wrench you getbwith the kit so they arent super tight
  8. Any shakyness will be hard to get out really. Some form of gimbal would be needed i think but then again, were not all made of money lol. The quality is good considering the setup. Ill mount my go-pro to mine next time i take it out.
  9. Got a couple good pics of my yeti the other day. Thought id finally post a picture of it: Sorry its such a far out picture bit i thought it would look good with the surroundings etc. This was taken on the north side of the pier on Saltburn Beach, with the pier in the background.
  10. Ah yeah, forgot about the adapters. There's a US company (don't think its vanquish) who make an adapter kit for the rear end which means you can run the front hub adaptors on the rear. It then makes the stock AR60 really wide and you get different shocks to put in. I didn't look into costs though. Oh, almost forgot, the kits all alloy parts as well and they give you 3mm alloy offset adaptors for the rear wheels. Come to think about it, its probably a really good idea and im talking myself into buying the kit

  13. ive got crud guards on mine. They're made from black duck tape but do the job. I put them along the sides of the cage aswell to try stop water ingress. What are the hubs on those SSD wheels? pins or hex's?

  17. Get a pro-line shell if you can, they will definitely take every bit of abuse that shells had.
  18. Gmade G-transition shocks good for scalers. Might get some and run them in droop on an SCX10 mk.1

      Personally I found my Boomerang Type IIs great shocks for running in droop... An internally sprung shock will be better for droop, I'm not sure why but it's just how it seems to be :/ possibly because of the shorter spring or something.

      Not sure if those GMades are internally sprung or not, I don't have an opinion of them, just passing on info from what I have actually used :)

      Pretty sure gmade shocks are well recived by axial owners. I think it's those I want but the aeration or something.  Red alloy.

      I ran gmade piggy back shocks on my old scx 10 and they was sweet as a nut.

  19. Cheaper than a new ESC so ill give it a try, you know of any 'how to wire a BEC' videos or guides anywhere?
  20. Brown outs happen with a 5v ESC. Any other BEC's i should consider over castle then or not?
  21. Whats the built in BEC on a 1060 voltage wise OHO (sorry for slight thread hijack), and if its lower than 6v, can i use a castle BEC to increase the voltage going to my reciever. The Carson radio set i have requires a 6v voltage going to the receiver and most brushed ESC's other than the RC4WD Outcry have a 6v built in BEC, most are 5v. Will a Castle BEC etc. increase the voltage going to the reciever? PM me if u need to if its gonna take ages to explain lol.
  22. Cheers Shaun, ill put 'em on my list. So just put alloy hub adapters in the wheels that space them out more? Im running the stock kit wheels on mine.
  23. Anyone know if a power hd LF20 servo is waterproof? Just wondering because i have one in the yeti and its been in water plenty of times yet i cant find anything saying if theyre waterproof or not?
