  1. Thats great, thank you very much.
  2. Thank you for the information provided very helpful and shall go with what you have recommanded. Do you have a photo explaining this, still learning and trying to understand it all. Thanks in advance again.
  3. Hi all. Couple of newbie questions regarding the crawler/electric scene. As mentioned in the title i'm looking at buying the new Axial SCX10 II crawler kit, building the kit shall not be a problem. Problem comes in the way of electrics, having used Nitro's for many years now i haven't paid much attention to the workings of the electric scene. So i'm hoping you nice people could point me in the right direction of which motors/ESC/batteries i should be looking at, price range i would say mid range and slightly higher. Heard LiPo's are the way forward so would like to go that way and brush-less is best???? Waterproof is a must also. Thanks in advance, Shaun.
  4. Have you not considered just rebuilding the engine or just replacing the engine. Not the whole buggy?
  5. How you finding the JP-4 to be working with the MAC.28, I have the SS .21 and been thinking of getting 1 also. Just wondering if you had some feed back
  6. Glad to see a few more people getting the SS, had mine a few months now, still amazes me how strong it is. Still struggling to find hop ups, or ready available parts for it tho.
  7. No this is my 1st nitro, was looking at a 7 but everybody has them, and they all rate them highly. With the SS been redesigned from the start its very clear to see the more stronger parts already fitted, downside to this is spare or inter changeable parts that the 7 offers. From the comments I have received from friends and other hyper 7 owners has been positive and they like the new design and layout, but again not many/no parts are interchangeable from what they can see. But on a whole its been great, really pleased with it.
  8. Loving it, just struggling to find upgrades for this model.
  9. Had the SS a while now and just been taking things easy. Seeing as I am away with work now for a few weeks I want to buy some upgrades, everything from tyres to what ever, with it been a new car and spec I'm not to sure what will fit and what wont. So any ideas and links would be great, thank you in advance.
  10. Not updated in a while, so quick update, got the engine broke in but still think it needs a little more tuning until its at its best, took it out for its 1st bash and all was going well until a rear wheel fell off, note to self make sure everything is tight, went on the search for the missing wheel nut has i am a noobe and have no spares, must of been my lucky day as i found it, wheel on and found a missing front diff mounting bolt, managed to borrow a bolt from a friend and was good to go again, then my luck finally run out. Throttle servo had packed up, no resistance at all, so that was my day over with and gutted, but 1so far very happy with the SS, got some good fed back from other nitro owners who only had good things to say about the new Hyper, but the was shocked how many things are new and different, front and rear suspension arms top and bottom are totally new design so no swapping with other hyper models. Good news is got a metal gear throttle servo from modelsport the next day and old servo sent off for testing and hopefully replacement, and the buggy is now repaired and cleaned ready for its next out.
  11. I also bought the SS but the 21 engine, totally agree the build quality is outstanding, strong bit of kit, took mine out for its 1st real bash 2 weeks ago and everything was going great until a wheel fell off, on refitting the wheel found a bolt missing and a few loose bolts, then on restarting the engine had no throttle, the servo had packed in. Quick phone call to modelsport and they sent me out a new servo but with metal gears and stronger torque, and sent the old servo back for testing, so good and bad start for me, but things can only get better
  12. my partner has the same car but in manual, very nice car.
  13. well I'm now the happy new owner of a hyper ss, ran a tank of fuel already and just near the end of the tank it started to run lumpy. no breaking in info came in the box so using info found from here just don't know with screw is which at the min for tuning the engine as I believe the next run will require a tweek to help it run, help please ,!!!!!!!!!!
  14. afternoon all, buggy came today and just charging up the hump pack, question is, what do I do with the switch that came with it? does it replace the factory on off switch.?
