Just a test to load and post photos

I got tired of the snow and ice, and had an old set of FG MT tyres, badly mounted by the previous owner - 2H's on one side, 2M's on the other!! As I already had a new set of alloys, I got a set of Kold Kutter screws from Dave's - the results were amazing - hardly any wheelspin - ON ICE!!

My LST2 spec 1/8 Raminator - more fun in the snow. NO, I didn't 'waterproof' it, so playing time was limited - better for me, before I froze as well!!

More recent shot of FG MT Blue Thunder, after an early test after gluing the tyres with the E6000 adhesive.

Photo of the F360 shell painted by our mate Mark of Outlaw Graphics - brilliant job mate - whatever those mistakes are you mentioned, I never found anything obvious!!

Group photo of the updated Juggernaut, with RC4WD beadlocks. It has Ofna Pirate option tyres (I think) and ESP long wheelbase upgrade. I have a set of old 3906 E-Maxx big bore shocks on - just about handling things. Not really a racer. It has a Traxxas EVX-2 fitted with 2x 550 brushed Kershaw motors.

Shot of 'the Jugg'. I've fitted pipes +/- where Monster Jam rear-mid engines normally are. They were from a Parma engine kit I found on one of my shelves, which I painted up.

Hope you enjoy the photos. Some of 'my gang'.
Finally found some time to play with images. Got fed up with Photobucket - haven't the patience to fath around that much!!

Cheers mate.

Here's a few of the E-Maxx - not exactly 'standard' spec!!!

E-Maxx next to the Jugg2

Lower down - shows the height difference!!

Rear chassis view - liking the look of those nano-techs!!

Bit of a tight fit for the fan for the Feigao 580L - never heard of them before either, but got the ESC + motor from Kershaw designs.

I've been thinking, over the last few days!!!!

As far as I remember, the Jugg's running the EVX2 / 2x brushed 550's on 2x 2S LiPo through the standard pinions which are 15t, so it'll have all of the pickup, and could probably handle much higher gearing.

I've bought 2x 18, 20, 22t RR pinions from Tower to see how she handles them. Possible stop at the 20t, which should be just about fine!!

Tell you what, the difference was AMAZING!

The eediot who assembled that FG MT initially (you get 2x Medium, 2x Hard with the kit) had put the Medimum on one SIDE, the hard on the other, and no matter how you set it up, it just did donuts on any GOOD surface.

I'd bought a set of JA Racing alloys, and decided the MCD Chevron MT tyres really looked miles better, and with a bigger surface area should grip better, AND sticking out would grip better ...... leaving the crappy old ones.

Then came the Ice Age of the other Winter, so I decided to have fun and bought some Kold Kutter screws from Dave's.

I couldn't even STAND on the surface, and this 18Kg MT was doing wheelies on it!!

Brakes? Perfect.

Acceleration? Amazing.

Cornering - grip roll ahoy!!

GOOD FUN!

Almost has me hoping for more ice this Winter ..... ALMOST! LOL!!

I ran mine on a Wild Dagger running twin sport tuned and 2s Lipo, good, on the back of an 8.5t Lunchbox, great rooster tails, and on an FOFF SCX which was just mental.

I have a fishing lake by me now, can't wait for that.

Should be fun mate. Watch for the edges, where ice is thinnest!!

Just taken the E-Maxx out to test out what 650A looks like ..... 2x 65/130C 3S 5Ah Turnigy LiPo's ........ KINELL !! (apologies Admin!!) was all I could say!

Speed was AMAZING - OBVIOUSLY faster than before, and kick was instant - despite having set the slipper to do that a little, or it would be on it's roof, despite the wheelie bar.

It cut for a few seconds - must have been over-current / heat - but returned after a few seconds. I did another couple of high speed passes, then called it 'a day' .... for now!

Group photos time - Jugg 2, E-Maxx and Raminator.

Notice how low the E-Maxx appears with that Barracuda shell on!!

Jugg looks too high, Maxx almost too low, Ram - just right.

Favourite?

Are you kidding? ALL OF THEM!!

Just been having some 'Christmas Prezzie' thoughts for the E-Maxx.

It's been 6S for a few years, but I've de-commissioned the old batteries and replaced with NanoTech 65/130C 5Ah 3S LiPo ones.

It could previously take full whack without a problem, but now the Mamba Monster is tripping out after a few high speed passes - obviously FASTER than before.

Options are limited to 'so called' 150A ESC's, and the SkyRC TORO 150A looks about the best 'standard sized' 1/8 high power / high voltage one.

Other than that I need to move up ....... Heh!!! Heh!!

The only GOOD one that will (JUST) fit is the Mamba XL - lucky me, having a stretched E-Maxx chassis!!

The other obvious alternative is the SkyRC TORO 200A, I thought ..... check out the dimensions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I've ordered my Christmas present!!

Doubtless Her Majesty's Customs will be getting their turkeys out of me, but it's reasonable at RC Planet.

It's cheapest at CastleCreations.com, but postage is expensive without cheaper options.

We'll see - I win this way - JUST!

$230 + 20% + 'Handling' + P&P $13 =

I can set it on 'training mode' - if I remember how, but it's still fast at half power! Not what he's used to!!

just set the EPA for the throttle to about 15% when he uses it, then keep putting it up a notch the more he uses it & gets used to it :)

Hi Daz, nice idea, but he'll have it on the Traxxas Tx, so I'm limited there.

The way he loves playing with programs, I don't think handing him one of my DX3.0's would be a good idea!!!!!

I got the Losi LST2 spec going and had a few runs, then just HAD to get the FG MT out!!

Nothing beats a good bash around with a LargeScale!!

Problem is ...... take a closer look!!

I did manage to hit a tree, but pulled the bumper out OK.

There's no other damage I'm aware of .... YET .... just a LOT of cleaning.

It's quite satisfying actually, strange as it may seem, as you see what you've spent all of your money on!!

One of the wheels on the wheelie bar had seized - bearing.

Most of the grime has been removed generally from the FG.

Wheelie bar was removed, cleaned and bearings replaced. Now free-spinning again!!

Damn, I must have enjoyed myself yesterday!! GREAT fun!

FG MT is nice and Blingy Clean again.

Found a couple of bolts loosened, nothing major - a first for me.

The Castle XL2 came through without grey card - BONUS!!

Considering everything, I'll upgrade all bullets to 8mm to ensure a good fit of the 8AWG cables.

Bought some more 8AWG on Ebay - 1m red AND am black
