Cheeky pic, as you can see she needs a new shell but it works.

Also should there be this much toe in on the rear ? If not how do I adjust it.

Got some new proline badlands to go on the rear along with some new wheels. Any tips for gluing or is it simple enough.

Stripped a spur last night so got 2 on order also.

How reliable are these things ? How often do you break things ?

You can buy different rear hubs toe change to in.

They are very reliable and unless you crash very hard it will last a while before parts need buying.

You've got t bones so you're pretty much sorted, she'll wise I got a hpi one from wheelspin for 18 quid I think it was, there's a few choices of clear shells that fit

That toe in is normal yeah

As long as your mesh is set right you shouldn't strip spurs at all, my first one lasted 6 months until I bent the top shaft, I didn't realise until I'd done two more ,replaced it and now it's fine again

Otherwise my only breakage has been front hubs which I got in aluminium

Cheers boys for the help.

Guessing just use the paper method for meshing the spur ? What's a good check to ensure it's correct ?

Also is gluing the tyres easy enough as I have already torn one to pieces :D

I use the paper method to set the mesh. I've tried loads of different thicknesses and I find a bank statement or something similar works best for me. Push the pinion so it's firm against the spur, no need to force it, you just don't want it moving as you tighten the motor bolts. Once I'm done I spin the spur slowly by hand to check it's not catching anywhere.

Gluing tyres is pretty straight forward, lots of youtube videos to guide you.

Lots of info on gluing tyres on the main forum try doing a search. They are one of the best bashers out there but like anything if you hit anything fast/awkwardly things can break.

On which surface should I be adjusting my slipper clutch ? As on road it hardly wheelies but on grass/mud it wheelies like mad??

The amount of wheelieing depends on your tyres, the surface and the punch level on your ESC as well as the slipper clutch.

If the truck is wheelieing too much on grass/mud you could loosen the slipper clutch a bit. But not to much, if you hear the clutch spinning for more than a second or two then it needs tightening

What's the standard shock oil weight? Looking to stiffen it up a little.

Standard is 35w

Surely that is asking for trouble ?

What do the bolts that hold the c hubs to the front hub carrier thread into ? Is it a self tapper or does it have an insert and it doesn't seem to want to tighten

You have to get two Allen keys or hex screwdrivers and screw the bolts in from each end at the same time. I'd take the wheel off to check how tight the hub is

It's clearing the path by a good 6ft. I did hit the street sign once though :D

They sure are tough, I rolled my blitz at top speed about 7-8 rolls on tarmac and it was fine

Took the firestorm out again today and it seems to be running very hot (motor)

After a 15-20min run I can't hold onto my motor for more than 3 secs, is this too hot ?

If so why would it be running so hot ?
