  1. A few of us have been using the GoolRC motors and seem to be having success for the price I don't think you can go wrong. Do do you know what KV you would like ?
  2. A fully charged 2s lipo should be 8.4V. I'm not really understanding what you trying to get at. Are you saying your 2 cells voltage don't add up to the overall voltage ?
  3. Put it like this, you'll either risk cracking your rim or damaging your servo or you will have sacrifice a tiny bit of lock. Like OHO said the numbers mean nothing and will probably vary Tx to Tx. Best bet is go try the rc to see if your missing the lock. If you are maybe think of a way of getting around the fouling. There is no real answer to your concern you will just have to try it and find out.
  4. Always remeber a fully charged lipo is 4.2V PER cell. So if you have a 2s (2cell) lipo your end voltage would be 8.4V because there are 2 cells. 4.2v X 2 = 8.4v
  5. My firestorm is finally running somewhere near woohoo, been out for a bash today and had great fun on the wet grass. Next upgrade is going to be front springs as I think previous owner has put much stiffer ones in and it's effecting the handling. Also going to get some ground assaults for the front as mine are worn pretty bad. What front springs does everyone reckonmend are thw stock FS ones as good as any ? Car is used on short grass mainly.
  6. RC stresses me out at times I must admit Good on him it's definitely good to have some sort of hobby what ever your age imo.
  7. Yes stock servo, do you think I will get away with it tight now with my metal geared one or better to be on the safer side ? I will do as Leo says see how it looks !
  8. Have I over tightened my servo saver ? I adjusted my servo saver under the advice of @everclear1984 and tightened it reasonably tight but as suggested on a YouTube video with about 1mm gap when you try to twist the mechanism. First run back "bam" stripped one of the gears on my servo. Replacing it today with a blue bird do you think I should undo my servo saver or was it just coincidence ?
  9. Very nice @ChrisT always loved scoobys and that RC is perfect, nice job.
  10. I went with the Bluebird 631 from Hobbyking I hope this has enough torque. The Gool RC motor seems pretty good actually I'm happy with that for £17! Hopefully the servo also lives up to the reviews I ordered 2 by mistake so will probably keep it for spare.
  11. New one all up and running perfectly. One pack used and servo packed up on me I have no luck.
  12. @Rtsbasic that surface looks a lot of fun. Cool picture ..
  13. Hobbywing WP-sc8 hopefully be up and running this weekend.
  14. I've done that on mine before. Although they where well worn and needed replacing. Damn things don't take long to wear with the power of the FS.
