I have only ever brush painted one shell, a Kyosho Sierra cosworth (wish i still had that) with black paint in jar and it turned out well as you still painted on inside, not so sure you will get poly paint in jars

So I got some more stickers on today. I’ve done everything as per the instructions but substituted silver for purple. The bonnet is sprayed black as a background for the carbon stickers. But it doesn’t tell you to blackout anywhere else the carbon stickers are. If I were to do it again I think I’d do that, as well as black out the headlights. the windshield visor was matched to the ps63 so I sprayed it with ps5. Will wait to see how that holds up! But it does a good job of hiding my mistakes and gives me a buffer for when I clean the windows.

I've done some research and it needs 14, 5mmx11mmx4mm so I got a couple of 25 packs coming from eBay already they were 6 quid each 🙂. Only other hop-up I want is the turn buckle set so I can teach @Skyesgaming about suspension geometry. Everything else on the chassis can stay stock. Anyone got a good motor/ESC combo recommend? Mine is coming with a torque tuned can but no ESC and my GF's one doesn't have either coming with it. We don't really want to be going any faster than 25ish mph and I'd like to use LiPos over NiMH

The other thing that keeps putting me off switching over is just how rugged cheap basic Dumbo Tx’s are compared to the increasingly fancy touchscreen Tx’s that have the better features.

Great suggestion - that would definitely add some valuable space. Not sure my soldering skills would do it justice. But of course thats another big problem - planning the wiring so that I'm not bundling in more than I need. Now you got me thinking about putting the boards in then connecting them up with absolute minimum wiring.

Motor fitted Had a dig around in the spares box and found a suitably short sensor cable, a pair of battery straps and motor wire holder, I’m pretty happy with the install 👍 I fired it all up and remembered the esc was last used in crawler so had all the wrong settings and I don’t have a programmer or castle link, so i did a basic transmitter program set up, the one thing I wanted to change but couldn’t was the BEC voltage, it was set to 5.5v so it didn’t burn out the diff and shift servo in the TRX4 it was in, so I either need a Castle link or a bec, I was going to direct wire it but then I would lose the option to run 3s 🤔

I've already found an eBay supplier, but ill look into the Facebook group, I'm also going to go custom and buy a exhaust and modify the header to fit, its cheap but I'm going to try go under £200 (excluding fuel) and I've already spent £175.

not for surface they are stick radio`s but shaped like a game controller so could use it one handed but not sure i will

Not seen them, are they for surface models? The only true multipurpose Tx’s I’ve seen have been for aircraft and drones.

I’ve not come across a multi protocol wheel controller and would be interested, I love the Noble that I race with but have not switched my fleet over to it because of the expense of replacing all the Rx’s

fitted the hobbywing fusion to the trx 4 yesterday 🙂 also spent a bit of time tweaking the shocks on the wild one and got it handling a bit better today 🙂

As per the title really... I bought an LRP S8 Rebel TX that needed some tlc and putting back together. From what I've read so far, it should have a .28 engine? Yet this one came with an OS .21 engine just sitting on the chassis. Now that doesn't overly bother me, I've got it all built up and started (even managed to find the correct early pull start with 3 bolt configuration!), but I'm struggling to find info on what version of engine it actually is - I can't find anything other than a sticker with glow racing on one side of the block and OS 21 on a sticker on the opposite side. The carb also only has a glow racing sticker on the body, nothing else stamped in it 🤷🏻‍♂️ I've taken a load of pics, hoping someone can help me identify it and where I can find the specs for it!
