  4. Tell your lad he not only 1 to knock himself off his feet lol done it up quarry good few years ago i went 1 way the tx went another and the batteries went to the 4 winds Ohh and welcome to the forum
  5. Hey all, Brand new MT10 owner here, came from an SCX24 crawler so bit of a difference in speed 😀 Out of the box I replaced the servo with an ecoboost along with Fastrax servo arm, RPM front/rear arms, gorilla taped the shell, Traxxas Foam Body Washers (outside and inside), Arrma body clips (rubber retainer ones). Running on Overlander 3s lipo so she rips with a FlySky GT5 and have SVC/gyro turned on although reasonably low. Good day ripping in the woods not far away, plenty of space in a big valley, kids have built dirt jumps etc, plenty of cartwheels, iffy landings, didn't manage to hit anything head on thankfully, one wheel stopped turning and we realised there was a small pine cone jammed in it 😆 Little'un (Six) managed to take himself out, don't think it was full speed but took him straight off his feet and landed belly first, few tears, dirty knees and elbows but laughed it off fairly quickly. From my inspection all I can see is all four sway bar/anti roll joints had come off the arms, easily popped back on but anything better to keep them in place or they designed to 'pop' if under extreme load. I think the battery straps could be longer, I might glue the hex nuts to the wheels, the hair net is a PITA to get on but probably does a half decent job, other than had about an hours blast with the two batteries 😁
  6. That’s promising as you have the 100A version of my esc. Are your settings in the same order as the chart above?
  7. now why did i know that de ja vu lol
  8. I have that hobbywing card which i use to change setting on a maverick quantum xt+ flux
  9. I’ve seen a video on YouTube of someone using a hobbywing box on a maverick but it was a different esc and box to what I’m considering. I’ve emailed modelsport to see if they know. The reason this came to mind is a problem I had with the maverick flx10-3s80 esc. I changed a few settings and then the car would go faster in reverse than forward? Checked polarity and ch2 was the correct way. Also turned up reverse speed on esc and it just went faster backwards. Noticed that turning ch2 output up and down affected reverse speed but not forwards? Like forward was just stuck on low speed. Put rx in my tamiya, no problem with radio gear. Did a factory reset on esc and all back to normal. Then I changed just the initial brake force from 40% down to drag brake and it did the same thing? The manual I found online shows drag brake as factory setting, not 40% as my esc is set to. Drag brake, max brake, punch and neutral range are also factory set different to what the manual says. So maybe I have a different software version on my esc? Maybe my settings are in a different order to the manual and I’m changing the wrong things? Even then I’m not sure what setting would affect max speed going forward but leave reverse unaffected? I’ve marked below how my esc is factory set
  10. What do you know... they DID release a GT12 version and mine is already on-order!
  11. I’m pretty sure that the worst that will happen is it just won’t communicate, I don’t think it’ll fry anything
  12. I’m looking at getting a different esc for another car and it seems hobbywing have a good selection of esc’s at reasonable prices. some of the maverick esc’s just look like rebranded hobbywings. I’m tempted just to try it…
  13. I have a good few hobbywing lcd programs boxes. If the firmware doesn't match it won't work and that's with hobbywing esc's. So I doubt it will work but don't honestly know.
  14. Thanks for that, will check it out 👍
  15. So as I understand it some programming cards will work with other brand esc’s. Is there anyway of checking this before buying? I’m particularly interested to know if a hobbywing card will work on HPI/maverick esc’s? Looking at them they seem identical.
  16. I do intend to lean the shocks over but just thought I’d try it with them vertical for comparison as that’s how they are on the stock chassis. Still not sure it’s going to bring it all down as low as it was? I’m pretty sure I’ve overfilled some of the shocks as they felt different so I’ll pull them apart again first and see what’s what. haven’t actually driven it much since I’ve modded it as been busy with other cars. Hopefully I’ll see an improvement with the new chassis.
  17. Hell has frozen over! In other news, I think I might sell my TRX4M's, I've not used them since Boxing Day 2022 =/
  18. Shocks done with 30wt and new wheels and boots fitted. Electrics swapped just need setting up.
  19. Thanks mate 👍. I'm happy with it. I need to try and get the paint off the windows.
  20. Oh, can you please point me towards the low trail of which you speak…. Sounds great.
  21. I use 1 of these on my tx's but yours is free tho https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/injora-cnc-aluminium-one-handed-control-adaptor-transmitter-steering-wheel-for-traxxas-tqi-remote-controller-1348133
  22. @steephill you nailed the tyre/ride height on the now not so Hi trail , looks spot on, when SGB did the low trail i told him to patent it otherwise traxxarse will claim they invented it
  23. This mod is now finished and will mak a lot more sense, i tend to film my cars and the Traxxas TX does not lend its self to one handed driving.....until now
  24. Yeah, Mah is what you’ll be after👍
