The front wheel has a weight fitted to it. As the wheel spins it creates a 'gyro' effect.

There's a lighter wheel weight available to help cornering.

Road bikes don't really need a gyro anyway. With a bit of practice they handle well.

Ahhh, that's quite an ingenious idea with the gyro-effect, I like it!

 

Thanks for the info, I was just surprised that these are considered very good, whereas most RC cars back in the day weren't a patch on what's available now.

I think it's the moving rider that gives them the cool factor.

Not perfect by any means but a really nice rc bike model.

Still a huge following for these in Japan. Some of the mods they do are fantastic.

I too had a real RGV 250M, it was awesome! Nikon race pipes on it, it sounded beautiful, fully rebuilt engine with wieseco Pistons, it was a real shame I sold it for peanuts to a mate who wanted it.

Lovely models too!

Are they going to be built & used or shelfers?
