  1. I think cage buggies always look finished with a rear wing, even if there more than likely going to end up damaged after a few runs.
  2. Quick one, of the two TRX-4 Sport kits, is the extra money for the locking diffs, arch liners and 2 speed gearbox worth it you factor in I will be using my own radio transmitter (personal preference for stick) or would I better off going on the base kit and adding what I would like to it? Base kit is ยฃ329 Premier kit is ยฃ449 Any thoughts? Is the Traxxas radio sought after used? Cheers ๐Ÿ‘
  3. A pack of these metal servo horns - incredibly they were less than a tenner from Amazon when I ordered! They seem as good as any other cheapies Iโ€™ve ordered before. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0897K7ZV8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  4. Thats great to see in unsavoury conditions, I love seeing buggies and crawlers on the beach. Bearings and dispersants are cheap, enjoy it ๐Ÿ‘
  5. I like it and I like the shell so there ๐Ÿ˜ Price is a bit hopeful thought. I would have thought the warranty returns and failure rigmarole onf sticking a 6kg servo in, would make it just as cost effective to stick a 10 or a 15kg waterproof one?
  6. But @Kpowell911 already owns eveything else Traxxas makes ๐Ÿคฃ
  7. Poor little thing ๐Ÿ˜ I thought youโ€™d eaten the gearbox halfway through!
  8. Had one last swamp run down the bridal path before this afternoons* tear down and service, bound to need some new bearings and the motor probably needs some love I think. Itโ€™s running fine, but you canโ€™t beat preventative maintenance. *It will be blocking the work bench all week ๐Ÿ˜‚
  9. John Holmes is excellent, occasionally crackers, but an allround top bloke ๐Ÿป
  10. Thatโ€™s a cracking advert for the Gatekeeper ๐Ÿ‘
  11. Deja Vuโ€ฆ. Today I tried to go the beach, I got the bloody beachโ€ฆ.. and it was high tide ๐Ÿคฌ I might go back at 22:00 when its out ๐Ÿคฃ
  12. Ouch is all I can say - is this normal in 12th scale throwing the chassis out of alignment or just bad luck?
  13. Iโ€™m pretty sure you can run lights straight off the 3rd channels with no Iโ€™ll effect, I think you maybe able to switch them from the handset, however Iโ€™m not sure where you would stick lights on a Scout without pulling them off in a tumble? (You will crack the shell across the front arches sooner or later, Iโ€™d take and glue inside the shell too). A LED light bar mounted in front of the windscreen might be tougher?
  14. Run it on the 540 silver can before you decide itโ€™s to slow! Then go for the upgrade to brushless if you think it is?!
  15. And it was ๐Ÿ˜‚ Some poor soul bent a bike or an ankle coming down here I reckon and put the sign up ๐Ÿ‘
  16. It looks ideal to attach to a servo tester you know. Still 72p ๐Ÿ˜†
  17. I still love this mutant parts bin special ๐Ÿคฃ Tough as old boots, and owes me so little money I donโ€™t have to be careful with it either, just a rinse, some GT85 and a recharge, then a strip every few months ๐Ÿ‘ Iโ€™m sure however the 1080 ESC is the game changer in any crawler. And an outside tap ๐Ÿ˜‰
  18. Are you using the kit wide axles to begin with? Compare these two: https://www.jk-rc.co.uk/tamiya-tt-01-parts/tamiya-46mm-tt01-axles-p https://www.jk-rc.co.uk/tamiya-tt-01-parts/new-tamiya-part-sb6-standard-axle-2pcs-for-tt-01-tt-01e-chassis-as-shown-p
  19. Interesting reading as always - are you going to revert to the old style stick braking?
  20. This is really quite a machine, every update I like what your have done even more ๐Ÿ‘
