  1. My VQS arrived today but I got this for my birthday yesterday so this is getting built first. Step 1: give them tyres a good sniff Once that’s out the way we can start on the build. First, cut the chassis off the tree and pour a whiskey. Before screwing the two sides together there’s some foamy bits to stick in. Screw it together and wonder if I’m building a boat. Cut some more bits off the tree and, as with all the parts, trim the excess mould bits off. These are some sort of uprights that I guess have something to do with the front suspension arms. The black edition comes with some upgrades so you get an extra sheet with alternate steps to those in the manual. The first of these parts is the high torque servo saver. As I’m putting the servo in soon I need to get it centred. It’s at this point I find the servo I picked out is dead, brand new, so that can go back to modelsport when I get round to it. It’s ok though, I’ve got a spare. I’ve seen people complain about these things but it went together easy enough. Now onto some turnbuckles. And maybe it’s time to put the tools down for the night. I’ve done the wrong ones.
