Hi All, Ive just recently bought a 2nd hand DBXL-E 2.0 on a bit of a whim and now wanna get a petrol SCT probably a 30DNT to bash around Cambridge RC Raceway for the summer. I went along there a couple of weeks ago to see whats what and had hoped to chat to some guys about getting into the 1/5 scene but there were no 1/5 guys there, just the crawlers. Any advice you can give to a newbie on what to look for when buying, where to go to find out whats on and when in and around Cambridgeshire / Hertfordshire will be greatly appriciated!

Hi All After a little while away from RC, im looking to get a 2nd car for occasional bashing and tinkering with. (Ive currently got a Senton Mega upgraded with a Max 10 Ezrun motor and ESC along with half a dozen Tamiya shelf queens) Ive seen a 2nd hand Tenacity DB pro advertised local to me for sale thats apparently only been lightly used and Im thinking about getting it. Knowing very little about these buggys can you guys tell me if it makes a good truck for light bashing on grass / loose gravel etc, and how reliable and tough they are, and whats the availabilty of parts in the UK. Lastly is there anything in particular I need to look out for if and when I go to see it. Many thanks in advance to anyone who can offer any advice.

Many thanks, the bearings, central shaft and end cap hop ups were all done during the build so if I do go brushless I’m hoping the car will cope. Can you guys recommend a brushless motor and ESC that will give a reasonable increase in speed without breaking the bank?

Hi All Im already thinking about a 2nd car to buy and am currently debating between the Terra Scorcher or the Blitzer Beetle. It may well end up as a shelf queen and I really like the look of the Terra Scorcher with the gold wheels but i believe the re re cars come with the white wheels and the gold wheels are as rare as hens teeth cause I cant find any. Can anyone tell me if there are any other gold wheels that are readily available and would fit? Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi all, im nearly finished building my first ever car - a plasma edge and have very much enjoyed the build. However as a newbie looking at YouTube videos it seems that upgrading to brushless is what everyone does eventually. That being the case can you guys recommend a cost effective option to upgrade my plasma to brushless. I’ve got a couple of 2s lipos and I believe the ESC that with the kit can handle brushless. im also considering buying a blitzer beetle to build next and would like to ask the same question about upgrading to brushless on that model too. Any help and advise you guys can give to a newbie will be much appreciated. Many thanks

Hi All During lockdown i learnt to fly heli's and planes but then when lockdown finished they all went up in the loft and havent come down since. Any how I had some RC shop vouchers to use up so last week I got an Arrma Senton Mega and a Tamiya Plasma Edge 2, neither of which ive got out of their respective boxes yet. They are the first RC cars Ive ever owned. I didnt realise the plasma edge doesnt come with a servo so can anyone recommend one for me, and also can anyone tell me if the Spektrum SL3 transmitter that came with the Arrma can be paired with a 2nd receiver if i put a Spektrum receiver into the plasma. Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer the above, Im sure Ill probably have so more questions as I start to lean more but that'll do to start with! Dave
