Has anyone tried Roapex wheels and tyres?
Yorkshireman replied to lorrylemming's topic in General RC
I was hoping someone would reply to this as I have looked at these myself ! Suppose for the price they would be worth a go! -
I agree, sod what everyone else thinks! Recently got myself a HPI SBK when l guess no one else would have. Great quality kit and, spares are available (to order). But to be honest I can't see anything braking! If YOU want it, then get it!

I'm getting on a bit now (still young in heart & mind though)...always had an interest in things rc but, like Jack said, couldn't afford as a kid &, my parents didn't have money to throw about either. I constructed boats & aircraft from kits but craved for that first rc ! Wasn't until my mid 20's l got my first rc car....a Tamiya Boomerang ! After that I got myself my first nitro, a Kyosho USA 1 . Had a few years out of the hobby after that due to other things but, I'm back with it more than ever now! Mostly cars, a few boats & a drone. Had a few little helicopters too without much success!!!! So, it's been lifelong thing really 👍

Arrma Senton 3S BLX owners
Yorkshireman replied to Fourmiz29's topic in Short Course & Desert Trucks
Really like my Senton....quick enough for me on 3S 😁. Think l may have to get one of those covers though, looks like it does a decent job of keeping the inside clean 👍 -
Never knew about this place and, it's only a few miles away from me! 😃 👍 cheers.

Always sad when your most faithful friend departs but you have to think that you gave them the best life possible. I know only too well how hard it is but time is a great healer, it will get easier.

Haha ! No mate, I'm over t'other side of Huddersfield.

Na ! Go on, try it....can't beat a bit of boating on a nice day. Love my little Super Mono X...great fun for not much money 👍

Just been looking at one of these on ebay....not that i'm buying !!! I had a Commadore years ago when l was "a lad" ! Could never afford the radio gear to put into though...it was a lot of money back then ! Wish l still had it but, sold it when left school and got into motorbikes & girls !!!

Although I like the odd beer or two...... l wouldn't be without a kettle mate, especially on a morning!!

👍 watching this with interest! Something away from the norm!😃

You can strip it off by soaking in bleach ! Never tried it myself but there's a post by Toyolian , in monster trucks - konghead build...where he uses this method.

Got myself the kit to help kill the dark winter nights. I'll take my time with it and hope that the FJ body comes back into stock sometime soon. If not then it will probably end up being a Rubi....😃

Ftx outback tundra 2 battery upgrade.
Yorkshireman replied to Bones74's topic in Scale Crawlers & Replicas
I myself use an Overlander RC6-VSR for all my batteries. The one in the picture is a cheapo off ebay but, you can get a similar one from Modelsport (Etronix powerpal pocket 2 ET0223) . You can also get an adaptor as stated above by Badcrumble from Modelsport (ET0819). -
" Jack of all trades " then ? Maybe have a look at the Absima 1/16 scale vehicles. Or....couple of pre-owned on modelsport at the mo...Maverick Strada & LaTrax Teton...both going for £99.

Ftx outback tundra 2 battery upgrade.

Hard to say really...seems like ages! I was out with it yesterday (see my post in rc pictures) on a part charged battery and that must have lasted an hour or so ! -
Ftx outback tundra 2 battery upgrade.
Yorkshireman replied to Bones74's topic in Scale Crawlers & Replicas
Hi, the battery pack I use in my outback is a Floureon 7.4v 2200mah. Fits nicely in the battery tray. You will need a lipo charger but, a basic one can be had relatively cheap. -
Had a play in the woods today with the outback. I've added a bit of weight over the front & it does quite well considering the short w/b.
