  1. So where abouts exactly do I spray the gt85? Is it like wd40? So am I correct Lucas red n tacky- transmission & axels? Gt85 - on bearings? Oils on....? What should I use on the drive shafts? Sorry I'm knew to all this Thanks for the advice guys.
  2. Hi guys. I'm knew to rc cars. I've bought a ftx outback tundra crawler. I'm wondering what oils and Greace ect. That I should use on the bearings, transmission ect. Thanks in advance for any help.
  3. I recently purchased a new ESC for my son's FTX tundra 2 crawler. After binding it. The throttle is reversed. When I turn it to 10 it gets slower. Same with the trigger . Which isn't so bad cause there's a reverse switch on my transmitter. When i engage the reverse switch its normal. The steering is perfect. What could the problem be. I followed the instructions in the manual for binding. Which was pretty simple.
  4. Yeah it is compatible. It's ftx tundra crawler. It has lipo switch thing on it.
  5. The nimh battery was a 7.2 v. This lipo is 7.4. will it be ok in my crawler? I really don't want to have to buy another replacement ESC. Thanks for the replys. I'm a newbie 🙈
  6. Well it was more than Sparks. A little smoke too. Turns out the polarity was reversed on the mini Tamiya connections. My ESC is toast. Was wondering if the battery was still ok
  7. I recently purchased a lipo battery. The polarity was reversed on it. When i plugged it into my car it sparked damaging the esc. Im wondering is the battery ok? Battery 2S 7.4V 2200mAh 25C 35C RC LiPo Battery Shouldn't the voltage on both cells add up to 7.4? These add up to 7.74 . I ordered a new ESC and I'm afraid of damaging the new one. Thanks for any help
  8. There's an rc shop close to me . Owners not the most friendliest of people. No the packs not swollen. The mini tamiya connection plug got destroyed when it sparked but apart from that it seems fine. I'm waiting on my new ESC to arrive.
  9. Is the lipo battery useless now? It looks ok. Here's a picture of both cells
  10. Thanks Gary. Looks like you're correct. I was sent a battery with the connections on the tamiya connected wrong. Which blew my ESC. 😔 I've a knew ESC on the way.
  11. Hey thanks for the reply. I'll despose of the lipo battery I have it in a lipo bag at the moment. I think they are going to send me a new battery. The guy said that that's the default way they send battery's with that polarity. I thought polarity would be universal?
  12. I recently purchased a lipo battery for my ftx outback tundra crawler. I bought it from aliexpress. You choose what connection you want. Mine was a mini tamiya. Soon as I plugged battery in Sparks flew out and the connections on the end came off. I checked the polarity on the battery and they were reversed. I then put my old NIMH battery back in to it to check the damage. My crawler wouldn't go into reverse. I could smell more smoke so I switched it off and disconnected the battery which had over heated a little. My esc is fried I guess. My question is. Why would the battery be sold with reversed polarity? Also is the lipo battery now damaged too? And is my old battery damaged? Today wasn't a good day. 😔 Thanks for any feed back.
  13. Hi. This might seem like a stupid question but I'm a little confused. I bought a new ftx out back tundra. It comes with a wall charger. When i plugged the battery into the charger before i plugged into the wall the light on plug turns green. When in plugged it into wall it turned red for a few seconds then went green. When i disconnected battery out from plug charger and leave the plug into the wall the light remains green. I thought that most battery's would have no charge when new. Does the green light mean the battery's fully charged? Is normal for batterys to be charged when new? Thanks for any information.
  14. The stock battery dimensions are 100 x 32 x 17 mm. I'll look into getting a lipo one that fits. Lots of battery's seem to be sold out online. At least over here in Ireland.
