  1. Might have to give in and  get a ARRMA  as always loved this body    https://www.bigsquidrc.com/delta-plastik-1-7-lotus-elise-clear-body-for-arrma-infraction-limitless-felony/

@turok007 yep the rear wheels are wider and taller on the Felony so Arrma have a different gear ratio rear diff to compensate for this.  You could always fit the same diff ratio though as the front in the rear but then you shouldn't run the wider/taller rears. That would allow you to run same tyre sizes front to back.

Tbh though I'd just get an Infraction and then buy a Felony bodyshell for it if it's just the look of it you like. I've seen people running the Felony rears on both front and rear axles before which looks pretty good although they did have to trim some of the shell.

I've just bought my third Arrma now a V2 Infraction. I've never had a problem with the quality overall although I know they could do better.
As with all these type of RTR vehicles they mass produced and put together by people working shift work who honestly may not even give a monkeys about putting the cars together all that well just as long as they meet the target numbers they're given to do and get to go home with a pay packet. I've worked in a similar environment in the past building ventilation systems/fans etc.

As for tyres GRP are the best alternative available and half the price of Hoons. The Felony though with it's wider rears is the only one you're tied to for the tyres unless you swap out the diffs so I'd stay clear of one of those.

  4. So, i am thinking about closing down my facebook RC Traildrivers UK group, it just has not grown any thing like it should of done, still only about 15 members after nearly a year of being up and running

  6. So my mum has accidentally ordered 8 boxes of Coco pops, not sure what we're supposed to do with 8 boxes but if my TRX4 sells I'll throw a box or 2 in for free.

  7. So, sat in my lodge in center parcs, I decided to give my new hobao dc1 a go round the trails. Was bored within minutes! Think I've realised crawling ain't for me !!

Wait till after Christmas before/if you buy another RC @Andy20xeas there maybe sales on. Have you got any big scale RC's?
I bought a Losi Super Baja Rey 2.0 earlier this year and absolutely love it. So much fun imho.

  8. Im really getting into Youtube (watching not making videos) and probably watch Youtube more than TV now. I currently follow Kev Talbot, @Tomley RC and Raz. Kev’s content is what Im into (bashing), and I like his content.  I’m a huge fan of Tomleys style and production, but he is more focussed on elements of the hobby Im not into unfortunately (the budget stuff and crawling) and I genuinely learn stuff from Raf’s videos. Anyone Im

    missing out on?

  9. Probably going to post up the TRX4 up for sale. Really losing the drive for RC at the moment.

  10. Went to a local Facebook RC club/group meet today. What a poop show.
Maybe 25+ people there and although friendly enough people there it was really dangerous.
Was held on a small industrial estate type area. I was there for maybe 15 minutes before I saw some poor guy (maybe in his late 40's early 50's) get wiped out by a huge 10kg+ monster truck. Literally took his legs out and smashed him to the ground.
Driver was apologetic obviously but there was no safety or basic rules arranged by any of the so called club leaders.
I've spoken to the guy who got hit and he's actually in a lot of pain now, ...hurt his back & ribs as well as a few cuts/bruises.
I stayed for only a short while after that accident then left. Didn't even bother taking my RC truck out of the car in the end so slowly discharging my batteries now back to storage charge. Waste of a day.

Cheers @Redback . I thought I'd go to see what it was like but definitely not for me.
I just felt bad for the guy that got hit and I don't even know him. A few of us went to check on him as well as the driver who hit him but it just felt like nobody else was that bothered and carried on.
Maybe I'm just used to the great group spirit that the ROSSA UK team of us all has. ❤️ :good:

Agree @Nitroholic that it should be common sense but as you mentioned that is lacking in so many people nowadays hence why I think some sort of driver briefing or at least rules need to be laid out for the "dense" to follow at larger meets/events.

Different if you're all mates out though obviously.

"Its this kind of behaviour that gives hobbies a bad name" exactly @Jack Reacher .
Think I'll stick to the speed run events, much safer.  :good:

Thing is @Jack ReacherI've been to a fair amount of different arranged events/meets over the decades for real cars, shooting as well as RC's.
Now I don't do any shooting events anymore but for the last two years odd I have been attending ROSSA UK as you know and safety there is so well managed. We have a drivers meeting before anyone starts running explaining how it works, safety, where not to run etc, people in charge of various areas and other things to make sure it is as safe as possible.

This so called event today was like a very badly organised Red Arrows show with RC's going in all directions and crossing paths. There were people hitting a ramp at full pelt with other people getting in the way of that trying to pick up crashed trucks.
Not to mention some tool with a 1/5th petrol truck going flat out screaming "look at me" the entire time spinning in circles, crossing paths, driving towards others blah blah blah.

So lucky nobody else got injured and no real cars where hit.

  14. RIP Frank Williams! An absolute racing Legend! 🏎

  15. Had a really lovely moment on-board the ship this morning, when all of the Malaysian crew members experienced snow for the very first time in their lives. They were so happy and excited! Taking photos an videos and calling their families to share it.

That'll stay with me for a while. 🙂

  16. Just released new Scorched RC parts for the Losi Super Baja Rey 2.0 available now.
They're doing a lovely titanium front skid plate and some gorgeous carbon fibre rear chassis braces.
Maybe @53HRA could add the products to the "RC News" as these are "must do" mods for the SBR 2.0.

We never had lights outside before but bought a set last year. It was so nice coming home to see our little house with the lights out the front. Real Christmas vibes.
Will be doing it again this year, ...it's not much but it does make it look & feel better.

@froggy8 we follow a little tradition in our house and always put up the decorations 12 days before Christmas day followed by taking them down 12 days after Christmas day.
Usually try to do it when convenient too so this year it's on the weekend of the 11-12th December.
      Cannot wait. :insane:

  22. I've been lucky lately with competitions so entered a draw on "The 99p Competitions" website to try my luck.
A guy who goes to ROSSA is involved with it so I know they are legit & one of the guys has already won a prize.
Just thought I'd mention it here as they only do RC related prizes so right up our street.
