Thought after all the doom and gloom of the last couple of years, I'd treat us all to a trip down to the Goodwood Revival meeting later this year. Used to go quite regularly back in the late 90's / early 2000's, when I seem to remember tickets were around £30 for general admission. Just priced it up for a family of four for one day, including grandstands, and it was 447 quid... Hmmm, well it was a nice idea at least...!!!

I agree with you @bertberr that's a lot of money for most people to spend. I really love my cars and used to go to a fair few shows but could never afford or justify something like that.
If you want a good value race circuit to visit Castle Combe is my favourite. Obviously not to the same level as Goodwood but still an enjoyable day out for a family.

I need a full size transit, I've found an absolute peach, but what's best; business loan? HP from the dealer? Personal loan?
Talk to me! (Please)

Where does everyone buy their LiPo's these days? I always used Hobbyking but it seems they have moved all battery sales to the international warehouse now.
-
Great info @danny boy . Agree it would be great if they could get it sorted as I've always been happy with the service from Hobbyking plus I love Turnigy batteries which they do.

@danny boy the battery I bought was a Lipo TX pack and was £15 odd for the battery. I checked my order and it actually came from the "EU Warehouse" with postage being £3.72.
I had two options with the postage from there with one being £3.72 (not tracked) and the other £35 odd! (tracked/insured). I risked the cheaper option and it was fine, no import charges.
Just checked ~ The same battery is now only available from the "International Warehouse/Honk Kong" and it offers me two delivery options. Fedex @£25.62 and UPS @£27.11.
Ridiculous so looks like I won't be buying batteries from them again.

Hey guys, sorry ive not been around much but ive been looking after my mother. At 82 she had to have her leg amputated so ive been helping her get back on her feet so to speak. Hit a milestone this week as she managed to get out in the garden for the first time since operation. Its been a tough road but were getting there one step at a time lol
-
Sorry to see that @Rover Man . Hope she gets on okay with her new life style after the amputation.
Best wishes.

Going to sell my 8s exb but where ? Forum seems quite eBay is a joke with fees and Facebook is a minefield of jokers ! Not sure on price either any thoughts guys ?
-
I understand the dilemma. Tbh I have sold a fair bit lately through Facebook without issue.
I always state cash on collection or PayPal Goods for my items and if sending use a tracked/insure Royal Mail delivery option.
I've been using FB to sell because eBay fees are something like 12% odd whereas if you sell on FB and use PayPal fees are more reasonable at 4% odd, ...plus easier to add that into the cost if you wanted to.
You can also share it then through various groups. So you can sell via FB Marketplace but also groups like; Arrma UK, RC stuff for sale in UK, UK RC bootsale etc etc.
If you do try FB this is a good group for selling Arrma stuff in the UK: https://www.facebook.com/groups/249445692413273/

I think the mods should consider unpinning some topics? Not sure the HPI Rush and Firestorm threads are buzzing lately 😉
