  1. looks good, would like to try my Unitrak on it once i have it built and sorted
  2. Nice mate, bit of a rare find and nice looking truck
  3. I do know the Unitrak body is fixed to chassis where as the rock van has a front hinge set up, maybe there are little mount tabs on the unitrak chassis to screw body down as the lipo sits in a tiny box up top behind cab, i do plan to fit a larger box and may end up running a pair of lipo`s in parallel for long run times
  4. I went with SCX24 45mm shocks, seem to remember people on the FB group suggesting them
  5. Not sure but when my Unitrak kit arrives i should be able to answer that for you as i have the rock van the Unitrak kit should be here Tuesday
  6. @Gaz!, you should of got an FMS Chevy lol................ Please can you tell me where you got the side decals for the body they look pretty darn good, but traxxas get a bad mark for the lop sided F O R D sticker on the front of the hood....oops bonnet, if mine is like that it will rattle my OCD
  7. Some swag from Injora....yes i know what i said a while back but i guess they just have the stuff and it arrives fast this is the hop up parts for the Traxxas hi trail 4m F-150, stainless links, 180 48t motor and metal gears at -32% ratio....second order should be here in a couple of days parts for the new build T-Hunter Unitrak kit
  8. last chance before i pull the listing
  9. with drawing this for now, figured if it were to sell it would be gone long time ago
  10. Overdriving the front can be a good asset on a crawler, by underdriving the rear and overdtiving the front this creates a larger over drive ratio, could work very well, the Element enduro models come with 5% front O/D but the parts are supplied to change it to 11% front O/D
  11. coming on well, a sfor body if it were me i would do Jconcepts 51 ford grandma van, i might keep my carisma and do a new same body for that
  12. another option is self adhesive hook an loop velcro, place a strip on lipo and the other strip on chassis plate, quick cheap and simple
  13. OMG, i have done a very bad thing, maybe i need trussing up in the stocks and pelted with rotten fruit.....placed an order for my first ever Traxxarse

i love my axial scx24 but the traxxas mini trx4 is on a whole other level and weighs a ton for its size which is exactly what you want in a crawler 🙂

Best mini crawler in my opinion.

And that Ford body looks mint.

  14. My thoughts as well, but seeing this one i will defo be getting the Brown one very soon, Brown just looks more scale
  15. Finally got round to opening up the transmission and diffs on the Element gatekeeper Texan,, all clean and fully greased now, next job is the new cab still a texan power wagon but all new colours
  16. now ordered the FTX Unitrak builders kit, the little unimog along with some bling wheels and tyres plus oil shocks from Injora
  17. So i have ordered a few bits from Injora for the F-150, this means i will be getting it after all this deliberating , i have some plans for shocks/ride height so can any one tell me the shock internal bore size and what diameter the shock piston is please
  18. Go with TRX4 i think some one on here did a build thread and really enjoyed the build
  19. For now gonna just order the brown f-150 and a set of metal links plus crawler gear set, then see how it goes in future, also wanting a hobby plus T hunter kit and some nice upgrades, maybe i can just do both
  20. OUCH !! Pricing up hop ups, or should i say possibly needed upgrades this project is really getting expensive for a 1/18th........metal underdrive transmission gears, metal axle ring and pinion set and a set of metal links to add a little low weight plus maybe an Injora 180 motor with the hi trail F-150 we are at about £252 then i would like a light kit. kinda feel im pricing this up and getting reluctant to lob this kind of money into this project.........if i am gonna go ahead might have to drop the motor and metal links from the list
  21. looking good, part of me is slightly tempted with this axial but i guess i best stick to the plan, maybe get this at a later date https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/axial-1-24-scx24-dodge-power-wagon-4wd-rock-crawler-brushed-rtr-green-1353668
  22. Thanks for the input and advice, was going to order today but no one in to take delivery so gonna have to wait a week, but i may be able to collect while out on my deliveries.....if i can get a truck into modelsport car park
  23. I think i will go with 32% underdrive does pinion come of easy enough
  24. Nearly ready to order the trx4m f-150 but im gonna want the lower ratio gears for transmission, i guess best get the metal gears and seems pinion needs swapping is this about right
  25. I would love a crawler course in back garden but i think mrs wolf would not be happy at all
