I hate May. Hopeless as home sec, sacked a ton of police, security was a balls up and will screw the pensions next but.... If Corbyn gets in we will stay in Europe via back channels and nothing will change. If it weren't for Brexit I'd be UKIP all the way. Until Europe gets lost it's gonna get worse.
-
@dazp1976 please elaborate how this is Europes fault, and why you hate the EU so much?
They gave you paternity leave, paid holiday, helped establish humans rights for everyone living within the EU, workers rights, consumer rights, also helping tackle environmental issues, consumer safety and the list goes on and on and on...
So we leave, workers rights are put at risk, you could lose paid holiday, human rights etc.... how is that helpful? So we can "take back out country". That's and archaic way of thinking.
And also the part about borders, imagine this: you and your familes home is destroyed by a bomb, you live in fear everyday that you are going to be killed, you have no quality of life, living amongst rubble in a conflict zone where there is no government to protect you.
You travel days and weeks, paying large sums of money with no guarantee you will get anywhere, you arrive and upon arrival someone spits on you and deports you back to where you came from, you lose your wife, your son...
How would you feel?

Just can't have anything nice anymore. Working long hours all week to be able to keep my car on the road. I come back today and about half hour later I come out to my car to find some scumbag has snapped off my wing mirror!
Now I need to get a new one tomorrow other wise that'll be a days pay gone, and the money for a new mirror.
Lucky I have a cheap Corsa!

Proper speachless today, I knew I had some money in savings given to me from my Nan and Grandad for a car or something. Went to ask him to say how much I could have and he said I can have the lot and he'll round it up to the next thousend... One happy man!

Been looking at Fords myself recently.. Something a bit newer though just for the reliability factor.
Mainly looking at Mondeos actually, so impressed with how reliable they are, my Dads work has about 15 of them, most of which have 250k+ miles on the clock and they are just abused for every mile of that by coach drivers racing to get home after a days work.
The one my Dads got sat outside has 370k on it and still pulls like a train.
Seems like just the ticket for me.

The big debate! Chinese vs Indian... What to order?

- Delivery Times: Ordered at 1920. Arrived at 1942. Very impressed
- Food Quality: Among the best I have ever had. Chicken balls were melt in the mouth, duck was cooked to perfection, crispy spring rolls were crispy!
- Temperture On Arrival: Fresh out of the wok! Almost burnt my self on the sweet and sour sauce.
Any more information wanted Sergeant?

Cheers pal, defo would reccomend black box if you have no ncb and are just starting out. Went from £4400 down to £1800 and that wasn't even the cheapest. Much better, plus like I say will only have the box in there for 3 months ish then I also get a rebate depending on how well I do.
Are you feeling confident on the road?Passion Fords is that even still going? Yonks old.

The Grand Tour, what do you think of it? Personally thought it was great! All be it for a 1st episode.

Thought the cars (and the whole segment they were in) were awesome, the rest was dreadful! Too much forced humour with the 'celebrities', the audience 'fight', the grumpy NASCAR driver etc.
It was both the best bits of old Top Gear, and also the worst rolled into one.
They need to stop trying to be funny. The best humour from those three just seems to come when they are just getting on with the task at hand. By all means give them silly tasks to do, but cut the scripted 'comedy' and stick to what flows naturally.
-
I thought it was good for a first episode, some bits were a little fake but overall it wasn't too bad. The need to have prime could be annoying but as a student I get money off for the next few years so isn't a problem for me. I think it's worth £80 a year as the same day delivery and the good range of films and TV shows are a bonus. I wish they did rc stuff like the US one does.

Right lads and lasses, got my driving test tomorrow and sort of bricking it. Anyone got any advice?

Yeah I've been told about always looking at your mirrors 100s of times haha, have noticed my self starting to do it naturally which is good. Although I've also noticed i'm thinking for my self too much in terms of the test, not driving as I was taught which is bad for the test but good for actual driving

Is there such thing as recharageable lithium AA's? Do lithium AA's last that much longer compared to normal Alkaline/NiMH AA's like Duracell?

Now. If you're o.k. with electronics, you could get a cheapish 100w+ size charger and a 150w+ xbox psu off ebay for about a tenner. Cut the xbox end off and fit 4mm bullets on the end and job done. AC chargers are stupid money imho for what they are. There is instructions on the xbox thing if interested.

Anyone having problems with My Hermes website?

Parcelforce have always been good for me, had one 'major' issue with them where a box got ripped and some items fell out, the sender had received a cheque for the full insurance amount within about 7 days of him making the claim, UK Mail are a similar story, but yeah, look on YouTube for Hermes, you'll see some 'interesting' parcel delivery systems

Roughly how short can you go with the antenna wire on a Spektrum SR310? Mine's still looking like an old AM set XD

Hella ide say the lrp 28 spec 3 would be a much better engine for you and it's around £100 New from germany. Or the lrp .25 mayb.
32 engines are best for heavy rcs and drink a ton more fuel plus don't rev as high so gearing gains the speed.
Lrp 28 claims 4hp revs quite high, tons of users and info available and it's cheap.
Hong nor .32 is that basically a force 32 engine like the savage xl uses? Cos people soon stick an lrp in the savage lol.

Or I found this for around the £95ish mark delivered

Been a pretty good week so far. Heard back from Mercedes about my HGV apprenticeship and they want me to come down for a formal interview on Tuesday!
Also family friend who does a lot of work for my dad has said he needs some help down at his body shop. So starting there Monday. If that all goes well he could put me through an apprenticeship in car respraying/welding/crash repairs

Can anyone else not upload to Photobucket?

Anyone know the lowest LVC on the HW MAX6/5... Manual just says "Low" not the voltage :/

Anyone ever used Blue Bird servos? Seem to be really cheap for the specs?

Can't believe what happened tonight.
Approached the roundabout turning right all nice and proper. Saw a car on the left thinking he would stop. But oh no. I just cleared the roundabout and bam straight into the side of me at full speed... ffs...!!

I clouted someone a few years back on a roundabout. They we're in the left lane, clearly marked one of two lefts (1st one an entrance to a business park) or straight on only. I was in the right lane, which was marked straight over or right. My lane was moving very well, left lane was crawling. I'm happily taking the exit straight over and saw the car in the left lane turn into me - glancing impact I was doing a fair chat (well within the limit) - he ended up upside down down the culvert off the roundabout, I ended up in the dead ground between the up / down straight on - wedged between two signs - all the maneuvering I could do not to hit them head on.
Plod came, guy said his sat Nav said take the 3rd exit and he never saw the first minor left exit so decided at the last minute to carry on round (no indication not that that would have mattered). Was asked if I wanted to make a complaint, said no, other driver admitted full culpability to plod and was therefore given a caution only. Biggest hassle from it was the hire company trying to fob me off with a petrol zafira for my 1 series diesel (got an upgrade to a new off forecourt 320D) and then bodywork place trying to fob me off for damage to drivers side - minor only and caused by the signage I got stuck between. Other drivers insurance company we're excellent though - bunging me ££ left right and centre to settle with them and not involve the blame / claim parasites.

Had one today. just come out of the city main centre onto the outer ring road. was first at the left turn only at traffic lights , being on a scooter i took my position centre of the road in a defensive manner. all was good. lights change and i rode the corner onto a dual section of road, indicated with fair warning done my lifesave checks and mirror checks and made my way into that lane. all i saw was a silver Merc hauling speed ( limit is 30 i was at 30, he was doing atleast 45+) , he under took me very close so yes i gave him the two finger salute , he then could not decide what lane to take, left only or left - straight on.
i went into the left straight on due to the road being dual and i needed to be in the right hand lane. made my move and got round the roundabout and corner. stopped at the pedestrian lights on red and it happened, felt this slight push forwards, the merc drive had came right up behind me and tailtapped my rear tyre. i pulled forwards and he intentionaly did the same again. so i sat middle the road for the next mile doing 20mph lol . he drew up beside me at roundabout and i let loose, called him a ****ing muppet how dare he tailtap me how dare he try bully a leaner rider. same time the van driver behind started shouting at him, he had followed the same dude watching him.
Poxy merc drivers if i see that retard again im going to rub my nice dirty toe guard along is nice shiney piece of scrap of a car, teach him a lesson. got home to a bust L-plate

My insurance halved in price after the first year from £1400 to £700 and I found shopping around helped. My car is relatively new (64 plate) as i found new cars were much cheaper to insure and as I do a lot of driving it was worth it. I passed in around 20 hours and first time but I wasn't confident. My confidence was massively boosted once I started driving on my own after a few weeks. As they say you learn to drive once you've passed your test.
-
Good to hear Alex, that's how I felt on my provisional I was certain ide fail it so didn't want to pay for it lol. So my step arranged it and said your goin and you will pass it watch. All the way ther I was like errrr I'm gonna fail sorry for wasting your money and time lol.
Got out with my sheet and saw pass first time I ever punched the air, but still lack of confidence made me think I literally just passed it on the marks. For twenty mins my dad was like a pass is a pass it doesn't matter. Then he said that's the needed score not yours lol. Then realised I didn't just pass I did very well.
I was 10x more confident about the questions than the hazzard stuff but found the cgi stuff used at the centre is like a kids version compared to the home hazzard disks.
I'm going for a lesson in 15mins I hope it goes well my nerves are kicking in now gopro on charge. The instructor wants me to film the lessons too saying it'll help me plus he wants to test the dash cam out he's thinking of installing one.
But I think he said your not allowed sound on during a test only video. I think anyway it could be lessons too.
It's a 1.6 citeron ds3 butt ugly car but very nice to drive.

It was a good en, did lots of fast driving 74 was the fastest during overtaking on daul carriage way 4 lane. Uttoxeter to burton. Did my best bay parking too twice I just hit it straight in 90° I went to straighten up to hit the next bay and he said "don't you f..... dare touch that. So I kept in and it worked a charm.
Gopro let me down tho wouldn't record for more than afew seconds hopefully it was just memory.
