  1. Just can't have anything nice anymore. Working long hours all week to be able to keep my car on the road. I come back today and about half hour later I come out to my car to find some scumbag has snapped off my wing mirror!

Now I need to get a new one tomorrow other wise that'll be a days pay gone, and the money for a new mirror.

Lucky I have a cheap Corsa!

Just put a wig on to look like a woman, then you don't need the wing mirrors anymore anyway....

If your profile page DOB is correct, how can it be so bad ?, I have 30 years on your age and getting older is great, just make sure you live for the day and make every second count.

  4. Looking good mate! One thing I would say is your diff oils seem very weak. I'd personally be putting something like 40K Fr, 20K r and like 70K in the centre
  5. First day in the workshop and i've already learnt so much. First job was to prep a motorbike front fender for paint. So one of the guys put the filler on and handed me a da sander and a block and went go on then. Came out perfect after some time.

Really like it there so far, gonna do this week and see if he wants to take me on full time :)

I hate May. Hopeless as home sec, sacked a ton of police, security was a balls up and will screw the pensions next but.... If Corbyn gets in we will stay in Europe via back channels and nothing will change. If it weren't for Brexit I'd be UKIP all the way. Until Europe gets lost it's gonna get worse.

@dazp1976 please elaborate how this is Europes fault, and why you hate the EU so much?

They gave you paternity leave, paid holiday, helped establish humans rights for everyone living within the EU, workers rights, consumer rights, also helping tackle environmental issues, consumer safety and the list goes on and on and on...

So we leave, workers rights are put at risk, you could lose paid holiday, human rights etc.... how is that helpful? So we can "take back out country". That's and archaic way of thinking.

And also the part about borders, imagine this: you and your familes home is destroyed by a bomb, you live in fear everyday that you are going to be killed, you have no quality of life, living amongst rubble in a conflict zone where there is no government to protect you.

You travel days and weeks, paying large sums of money with no guarantee you will get anywhere, you arrive and upon arrival someone spits on you and deports you back to where you came from, you lose your wife, your son...

      How would you feel?

  6. Personally I feel almost everything alloy is stronger as it's a higher grade of ally. I believe most stuff is 7076 on the pro spec hong nors. Where as most stuff is 6061 or cast on the Hyper. (Again just from what i've read) Plus I feel like it's just a better design and construction over the Hyper. In the real world there is probably no difference at all, but I feel like I have a lot more confidence in the HN. So do I! I almost bought a pair when I had that custom chassied X1 before. But couldn't justify the cost for the gain. They're in pretty much mint condition with just a tiny bit of material taken off the tips from roll overs. Looks like just the anodizing has come off to be honest. The centre diff holes are for the 4mm screws so I just took a 4.5mm bit and ran it through them square and it is just enough to be able to get all 4 screws in all the way. It's not a perfect fit, but i'm more than confident it's not going anywhere. Yeah i'm crying out for another MFP mount or something equal to it. Just a crappy mount I had in the draw lying around for years. Currently running a 16t pinny, 47t spur and standard diffs with the 1700KV motor. Goes alright but does get a bit hot :/

  8. +1 For choice of RC I would start off with a 14t but have a 15,16 and maybe a 13 in stock for adjustment.
  9. Roughly how short can you go with the antenna wire on a Spektrum SR310? Mine's still looking like an old AM set XD

do you still have the ones you cut down  as they can be saved by removing the covering on the end.

    3. HellaFlush

      HellaFlush

Nope, they were only for a cheapo set anyway. I did have the ends exposed probably a good 20mm or so. I tried to solder up a new longer wire before on one but that didn't really do much either

      turok007

you have to uncover the end just the same as the original one

  10. I have the older version of these. Very good batteries for the price. Not sure if it will actually fit but they are pretty small for a 4S I think. Gonna grab a couple my self in the coming weeks
  11. Hey all. Thought i'd show you what I've been working on for the past couple of weeks. Decided that I didn't like my Hyper ST all that much anymore, cracking truggy. Just had connection to it really. Didn't enjoy it as much as I would have thought. So I went back to my roots when this came up for sale and I managed to get it pretty cheap. It's a Hong Nor X1 CRT PRO with a few aftermarket upgrades like; - CNC front and rear hubs + steering kuckles - Fioroni front and rear CNC shock towers (Really love these, they're so beefy) - Hyper Spider centre diff (Because why not if you can right?) Have basically taken the middle bit out of my Hyper and transplanted it onto this chassis. I much much prefer the way these handle and look over almost any other truggy. Everything is so more and beefy. Half way through putting all new hardware in so far I have done all the screws holding everything to the chassis with A4 stainless gear, same with shock towers and most centre stuff. I love trying to put cap head screws in as many places as I can as they have a bigger hex than anything else and they look amazing. Has been completely rebuilt from top to bottom. When funds allow I plan on getting a Hobbywing ESC (Ideally another Max 6, although a 150a will be great still) and a Leopard 4282 2000KV motor as i'm only gonna be on 4S the 1700KV at the moment is a bit too slow for my needs and can't really gear it up to what I want due to it being a 4274 can.
  12. Been a pretty good week so far. Heard back from Mercedes about my HGV apprenticeship and they want me to come down for a formal interview on Tuesday!

Also family friend who does a lot of work for my dad has said he needs some help down at his body shop. So starting there Monday. If that all goes well he could put me through an apprenticeship in car respraying/welding/crash repairs :D

There's a reason why Ford's have a heated rear window. So your hands aren't cold when your pushing it home.

Either of yous gonna be a Classic Ford this weekend?
