Been a while, but back into RC - with my 6 year old lad. 1/10 2wd buggy indoor carpet racing. Love it. He has a Schumacher Cougar KC and I have the TA B6.2. Addictive - and expensive! Hope you're all well.

Hello folks, been a very long time. Hope you're all well. Think it's time I got back into RC. Now where's my 6s ? 😃

@big gaz Yeah, I know that may be a bit selfish but I had been committing to the forum, it is the only one I am on actively. I have just taken out a gold membership to support this place, and now I no longer feel like supporting it as much.

Recruitment agencies are doing my head in.
-
They are a scam they tell you work hard and after a year you can apply with the acfual factory. But 11months in they lay you off anyway. I was let go then my mates told me a van full of fresh recruits replaced me and others.
So we didn't get full time jobs cutting ther placements.
Employers pay the agency alot more than their staff but aren't liable to agency staff so save loads in the long run.
Wasnt it the other year Tories vowed to get more in work. So they took a mans full time job and gave it to two agency staff to share. Gave both working tax ctedits and told the public they came good on the vow to lower job seekers. Without saying they doubled working tax credits.
Its all a scam my first agency took me on at 15. They lied on my behalf to the warehouse. But soon got rid of me once they could. About 8wks after.

First go at RC for probably a year. The Rally car with 3s, forgot how much I love RC The thing is rapid!

I've got a very good Credit Rating - no issues, all positives. Vodafone don't want to know.. Only £27 a month too

@Carpmart I'm beginning to see this! - we're off to London this weekend for a stay and a Spa, suddenly doing what I want to do isn't so much of an issue no more!
-
Nice speeding fine through... Good one. Always been a 30, dropped to a 20 and got the officers right there waiting for drivers.. My own fault of course, should have noticed the change.. I got caught at 30, but that's now in a 20... I await the punishment!
-
Keep your mince pies peeled - stuff going up for sale soon! - RX8 Gen 2, Xpert Servo's - Sanwa RX's and more!
-
Might get myself a brushless 1/8 buggy and nitro 1/8 truggy to get back into rc'ing again.. got the esc, motor, engine and pipe, servo's, rx's, tx... it's time.
-
Hope you're all well and good. Been a while - I've taken up Golf LOL !
-
Sorry to ask 'whats it worth' - but want a general idea for a Losi 8ight 2.0eu buggy with Tekno v4 conversion - good condition - new shell, some spares and mostly new bolts all round. Nice buggy! - can't see me using it so might as well let go.
-
Built the Losi 8ight 2.0eu with Tekno v4 brushless conversion from bit - new screw set, new shell, looks great - realised I'll probs never use it lol !
-
Waiting for something to come along and nothing.. Spend a few days away from the forum and BOOM, that something comes up and is sold before you've logged back on
-
Mini project time
-
I really really want another RC - nothing is taking my fancy tho... Maybe a quad or heli... or plane.. or Truggy... or Buggy.... SEE WHAT I MEAN lol
-
So that's £250 to spend on an RC - What to go for...
-
Reckon my sales post for the Serpent E-Truggy is too expensive or just wrong time of year?
-
Haven't even started Xmas shopping yet - not one thing!
-
I'm knackered and the Missus is insisting we take our son to see Santa tonight, he's only 5 months old! - Suppose it is his first Xmas
-
Tempted to drop a pile of used £££ on a 5ive Buggy, they look ace!
-
Been out the game for a while.. So did anyone get a Vekta ?? If so, thoughts?
-
Quite a few have had issues with the rear axles, the bearings are destroying the insides of the housings it seems, it was reported by Kraken in the very early developement of the Vekta and they said by release it was fixed, but clearly, it's still an issue.
Don't own one and never would so I can't really comment, they seem to jump okay, but they just look odd and awkward to me.
