ST Pro - going back to it's original owner. She's done nowt but sit in it's box since I bought it.
-
Slightly cross to discover a website has 'stolen' a photo of mine from Flickr and is using it without permission or even crediting it to me.
-
Just shocks to do and MTe rebuild complete. Next on the bench an ST Pro to E conversion for a mate. Lets hope that one's as good as it looks and not a basket case to start with.

Frustration of building a kit to the manual.... only to realise the turnbuckle lengths are so wrong it's laughable. Rear toe is one thing, but running the manual length i'd have about 15 degrees!

Gotta love the UK. Parts from HK, 2 days after shipping arrive at Heathrow. 2 weeks later there still 'progressing through our network'.

Sooo.... last nights The Walking Dead was as poor as expected.

For me the Negan storyline has just dragged too long. Too many episodes where nothing has happened to either develop the character arc or further the storyline - not dissimilar to what's come before just dragged along to the Nth degree. I've been a fan since Day 1 so won't stop watching regardless - hopefully the whisperers will bring back the walkers as a real menace, rather than a convenient method to get Zombie Repellent Rick out of another certain death situation.
-
been watching since day one big fan of the series and comics glad they kept negan alive rick kept his promise to carl etc this seasons been a bit meh but there going in a new direction now the producer said sad to see morgan go to fear like him waiting on that chopper still and the whispers group should pop up soon, governor was still the don tho upto negan and lucil

Day out, supposed to be a jolly but ended up hiking up the N Lincs coast, too much of it on the beach. Cream crackered.

Evilbay - Selling mini me's scalextric - sought after set but well used - clearly state cash on collection, no delivery - counter an offer with £X CASH ONLY and the buyer agrees, pays paypal and tells me eBay urges him to do so. I'm not daft enough to fall for a not received claim on a collection so i've refunded him. Expecting my first neg feedback in 7yrs of using this account and first one ever since joining eBay around 1998/9.
-
Contact eBay about it if he does leave negative feedback.
Although, a note, if someone does get a best offer accepted, it does tell you to pay via PayPal, or by some electrical means, maybe he's not trying to pull a fast one and is a bit naive?
Either way, best offers should only be done face to face for collection items only... Never add a best offer to a collection item.
Lesson learned for future

Thanks MS for replying to my message this morning. No moaning about it here won't help but will make me feel marginally better.
-
Not the first time. My last conversation with them was about a back order part i'd waited months and months for. Turned out it's been in stock for months and months, someone just forgot to enter the stock onto the computer. It happens, not just MS - but as a generalisation UK retailers when they get to a certain size seem to struggle. Very small guys seem fine, and the huge ones (think Amazon) .
-
I had several issues with a model I bought, I rang them up about it because I couldn't get stock of a single item, they saw my issue and told me to just take the model back for a refund if I was able to do so, so I did, only to find out they wanted to offer me 'trade-in' price for it back?!
Asked to speak to the manager, but he wouldn't come to the front desk, was hiding in the back somewhere and sent someone else out to deal with it.
After that, they basically told me to leave and I couldn't buy anything else from them.
I have done online since then though, but that experience left a very bitter taste in my mouth.

Forgive the double status. 5000mah 90c graphenes' £21 each on hk UK warehouse. sale ends tonight I hear.

Guys boast about finding HSP / Strada rebrand drift car in local garden centre, £30 to clear. NEW. Guy buys two, asks £150 for them. There's a bargain for everyone (not everyone could get to said garden centre etc) and being greedy.

CML have taken stock of the Hobao DC! crawlers. Out to retailers by next week.

Love payroll time of month. Makes it especially fun to pay rent and other bills at the same time.

Any good buys in the HK sale? Need a couple things so whilst i'm at it it'd be rude not to grab some extra bits! Lifes to short to trawl through though!

Resolution finally reached on the Hong Nor Kit that was delivered light of most of it's parts. Took awhile but happy enough with outcome and didn't need PP protection in the end.
-
Parcelforce!!!!! Most annoyed - I expect service (or lack thereof) like this from the throw it over the fence brigade - pay extra for the privilege but the last two days they've really tried my patience! Rant over.

HK stuff - supposedly came yesterday - no card left - didn't update tracking details online till after depot had closed to tell me they'd tried to deliver. Left polite note on door today asking driver, if no one or no neighbour in, to take to local PO as they do 99/100. Get home to find card through door. Coming again tomorrow allegedly. Spend 30mins on hold to talk to customer services - first time get a depot in carlisle - advised only local depot themselves can sort so to press '5' when prompted. Do that, spend twenty mins to then get bumped to N wales as the system decided i'd waited too long. N wales operator promised to call Nottingham to sort, and call me back to confirm. 45 mins till they close, no call back.

Ouch. HK sales are too tempting.
