  1. Good to see it being enjoyed, can't beat the sound, smell and satisfaction of a good running nitro. For those of us who lack time however... and then there's cleaning if you're a stickler like AJ. Def picked the best colour did 53hra - the blue to me looks a little cheap once it gets that used look. Almost makes me want to run one of my two nitro GT's and not perpetually weigh up sticking a 2650kv Castle in them.
  2. Good luck looking. I've got one in my stash, took me a long time to find and only cold hard cash in silly quantity would make me part with it. Afaik there's nothing else out there, even finding a good used one to make a puck from to mold my own was a challenge.
  3. Overlander RC^-VSP muti function charger, used, works as it should. Surplus to my needs, probably the best budget chargers on the market - built in PSU, DC operation if needed, built in balance ports, upto 7amps with 80W and will charge upto 6S (I used to run multiple of these, each doing a single 4s or 6S lipo - much more effective than split charging multiple lipos off one big charger). Comes with mains lead and one deans charge lead - I could swap this to a 4mm HXT or XT60 if so wished. Current version (VSR) is £48 at modelsport 😮 £30 ovno plus post at cost, local meet up or collect DE5
  4. Hong Nor X3e Brushless 1/8. Factory model, Artr. Runs 4s, 2100kv (iirc) leopard motor, hobbywing 120a esc. 16mm big bore shocks, front CVA's, fully adustable turnbuckles etc, brand new wheels and tyres (Louise-C), shell solid but not perfect. Has upgraded rear hinge pin brace to address the usual issues on RTR spec rigs. Has very little wear to running gear, plastics or chassis as can be seen - it is used though so not perfect - negatives I can see is some gravel rash to shock towers/caps and shock boots have gone the way they all do - study the pics, but it runs and drives as it should. I have a few of these and need to thin down. If your used to conversions or heavyweight bruisers this will surprise you - - extremely nimble and handle like they're on rails - a joy to drive. I ran it yesterday for a pack and as usual it never failed to bring a smile. Latest version is still sold, parts are easily available. I will include some spares with it but also have a chunk of Pro parts new / as new that I could do a deal with if wished. Collect DE5, meet up or post at cost. Not really interested in trades but feel to PM WHY. Offers welcome if you think I'm out. £200 ARTR ono £150 roller ono Apologies, photo links are dying, I'll sort some today
  5. Would love a Rx, but if both gone arms would be useful, thanks
  6. Cheers, I have the alu chassis already, but front is plastic - it's holding up ok. I've had all the FTX 1/10 range so quite used to where the weaker points are. Love the zorro but being as I have a tekno sct and a FTX outlaw I may have had my fun and move it on.
  7. Honestly thought this was an early april's fools when i first saw it. Nothing really to add that's not been said multiple times. Biggest take for me is pricing, it's ridiculous. Traxxas drivetrain's rarely inspire confidence, especially on V1's, add to that the VXL esc's and it's a big no from me. Will it sell? Do bears defecate in the woods?
  8. Hey Do you still have the manual for yours? Can't find one online and my used one came without.... finally broke something so just need to check part numbers. thanks
  9. 40/42mm diameter or larger as in longer can 36mm motor? Also what sort of KV?

Hey Gaz I'm not much one for Tamiya or crawler tbh but if it's something I can move on for the same value then let me know. On the lip side if you want it want it I don't mind holding it for you some time. c

Brand new, boxed, never used (not returns etc). CEN, so great quality - Hobbywing ESC, Savox servo, solid axles, wheelie bar, oil shocks etc etc. Check out Tomley's review on youtube, these are great fun. Adjustable gearbox for hi-speed or high torque (wheely monster!), 4WD / 4WS optional with upgrades, design lends itself well to custom use. Currently on offer at Modelsport for £150 (launch was £200 ) so 20% off that seems very fair - but hit me with close offers or trades if wished. Collect, local meet up, post at cost, trades considered. £120 Net OVNO
  13. Hey bud, Just a 7 you're interested in? If so basic spec? Something better? If not I've not long finished a Hong Nor X1 Pro CR conversion.. if you think 7's are strong you'll get a surprise.
  14. Worth asking, but only cash? This is one on my list I've not had but just after Xmas and a new ST Pro means things (hobby fund) are tight.. Also what's spares situation with these now? Thanks
  15. I've DIY'd an aerial tube holder in the past, work in progress but did a good job
  16. Here-in lies the rub - if you've gotta drop that much extra on top it becomes less of an attractive proposition... (not aimed at OP). Even box stock I see many owners having issues, not just the drivetrain. It used to be the done thing buying the brushed version of many RC and putting your own combo in, with the cost often being the same or less than buying the factory brushless rig even knowing the brushed electrics usually had next to no resale value. This way you could spec the system to suit your needs better too - for cell count etc. Such things were possible because the brushed / brushless version was identical, or essentially so, bar the electrics. For me, these brushed arrma rigs are a total cash grab, to entice new folks to the scene / brand at a face value lower price and them milk em down the line. Not great business sense for a brand, but when your a huge disti with many brand names under your belt I guess the long term plan could involve ditching a brand down the line. It's a shame I guess, as I really want to like / see the value in an entry level 1/8 rig.
  17. Plastic has it's place in a drivetrain - namely the spur as a cheap as (should be) easily changed item. Plastic diff gears belong on brushed rc from the before the last stone age.
  18. Not strictly on topic but in my experience those wanting a bigger rally rig go down the route of a 1/8 buggy or GT. Running a rear shock tower and longer front shocks does a fairly good job. Drivetrains are usually good with 4s BL systems without upgrades and 17mm hexes means there's a wide choice of wheels/tyres available. Now that phatbodies have plugged the market gap for 1/8 rally shells at sensible money there's much more choice of bodyshell too. My only slight niggle with this route is ground clearance still isn't great but it's probably close to scale and more than adequate for rally use.
  19. If you have the truggy diffs (like the X2 crt should) than i'd start with a 17t with your motor.
  20. I have a couple onroad left, can be v cheap rtr. Fwiw the chassis is the same (with some spec differences like bushes) as the HSP iirc. Amewi are just a German disti brand (like FTX).
  21. Hey Bert, Apologies for lack of contact, been a somewhat hectic couple months. I'll take the motor mount please. thanks
