  1. Hello to all - I'm new to the forum. I have a HN X2 CRT truggy which I bought ages ago and didn't use very much - it's been in a cupboard but is in pretty good shape. I would like to convert it from nitro to electric. I've been researching which motor mounts / battery trays / servo mounts etc would fit the X2 but I'm not really sure what I need / if the required parts are available ? I also have the following components on hand : HET-RC Typhoon 700-68-1500 brushless motor YEP 150A ESC 4x 4S 3300 MaH Lipo's 3x 8S 4400 MaH Lipo's Suitable motor / lipo combinations for an 1/8th truggy would be of great help (especially if the motor, ESC and batteries I have would be useable / suitable). It would be great to be able to get a top speed of 40-50 mph and a runtime of 20-25 mins, but don't know if this is achievable ? Here is the truggy in its current state with all the nitro and control gear removed : https://i.postimg.cc/bJf92Gdv/PXL-20210909-200049942.jpg Any help or advice would be awesome ! Thanks, P195T
  2. SOLD For sale here is my mint condition Losi 8ight 2.0 1/8th scale truggy. It started life as a "Competition Nitro Truggy kit" but has since been converted to run a brushless motor kit. No expense has been spared on this and honestly I challenge anyone to find one this good. Full spec; Originally a nitro kit converted to brushless electric using part n#LOSA0912. Mod 1 metal gears with 46T main metal spur gear on centre differential. Differentials use a 10T pinion with 43T spur. Proline Caliber VTR tyres (140mm tyre diameter). Front and rear shocks fully serviced/like new ~ with 1K CST silicone oil. 100K Silicone oil in centre upgrade heavy duty differential. 15K silicone oil in front standard differential and 10K silicone oil in rear upgrade heavy duty differential. Fitted with; · Aluminium adjustable rear hinge pin brace (LOSA1755) · Aluminium adjustable front hinge pin brace (LOSA1754) · Aluminium front chassis brace (LOSA4416) · Aluminium rear chassis brace (LOSA4417) · Aluminium front top brace (LOSA4440) · TLR aluminium front & rear diff pinion coupler (TLR3502) · TLR aluminium shock ends (TLR5435) · TLR aluminium front & rear CV driveshaft axles (TLR3500) · Savox SW-1210SG digital coreless waterproof servo 30kg (SW-1210SG) ~ RRP £65 bought new · Rear HD lightened outdrive cups (LOSA3553) on rear differential · Various stainless steel nuts, bolts & washers · DE Racing rear skid plate (DER-210-L) · DE Racing rear mudguards (DER-110-LT) · Hobbywing Ezrun Max8 ESC combo with 2200KV (4274) brushless motor ~ RRP £152 bought new · Aluminium motor heat sink with WTF Turbo fan · Hobbywing cap pack (pre-wired in by myself to protect from voltage drops) · Team Losi Racing 3.0 body shell (TLR240006) professionally painted by myself with a "Tron" inspired paint job featuring Tamiya Iridescent purple/green paint which flips depending on the angle you look at it. This has run a 70mph speed run pass on it's current set up using a 6S lipo (20T pinion/46T spur gear) on road so is very fast. I will supply the truggy complete as pictured with it's 2.4GHz 3 channel remote control which is an Ikonnik ET3. All you will need to run the truggy is batteries for the electrics : 4S or 6S lipo and (x4) AA batteries for the remote control. Any questions or offers please feel free to ask. Genuine reason for sale as need to add some cash to a wedding fund to cover venue costs so this is what I decided to part with. It's difficult to put an exact price on what is a used item like this but yet is in as almost new condition imho bar a few marks here & there with a lot of expensive extras (you never get back what you spend I know). To start ~ Asking for £350 ONO including delivery and PayPal fees. Price is negotiable. Please call "dibs" in this thread if interested and follow up with a PM to myself to discuss price, payment, postage or any other questions. Thank you.
  3. Hey, I've been thinking about a brushless motor and esc for my truggy (VRX Sword). So i have measured the heights 'n stuff, and came to two decisions: Yuki Samurai 4350KV (rpm/volt) and a 60A countinous esc, or a Robotronic Razer Ten 4000KV (rpm/volt) also with 60A countinous. Each is 3652, my car has a 11.2:1 gearing ratio, mostly AWD, but maybe sometimes i'll transform it in to RWD, and i'll be using it mostly with a 40c 4.2Ah 2S Lithium Polymer battery. What do you think, wich one do i choose?
  4. I am looking for the best option for racing competitions. My past experience was: Revo 3.3 nitro Kyosho Inferno Truggy nitro Losi 8ight-T Race Roller nitro HPI VORZA Flux eletric Arrma Kraton 6s eletric Friends 8Ight 2.0 nitro 8ight 3.0 eletric 8ight 4.0 nitro When I was looking for my new racing Truggy I came across this : Mugen Seiki MBX8TE HB Racing E817T Serpent S811T-E "Cobra E" Tekno RC ET48.3 Team Associated RC8 T3.1e SWORKz S35-TE Witch 3 of there options are the best ones for racing and what is the best racing Truggy for you guys that tried it, i want mainly for racing and some times ride it in my farm no crazy bashing. There are so many options but I don’t know anything about this brands only same things about Mugen when they were the first to use the metal ball on the front arms but now they aren’t the only ones doing it. Sorry for the long post Could you guys help me choose the right one, thank you guys very much ! My best regards Pedro Marchett
  5. Right I'm in need of some help/info regarding my tyre and even wheel choices for my HPI Trophy Truggy 4.6 as I'm struggling a bit with lack of information out there and a lot of incorrect info as well... First thing is the size of the wheels, I've got the standard 7 Spoke Chrome wheels that come with the Truggy and I've measured them and they are approximately 4" across and 2" in width. Now this is a bit odd as almost all of the info out there seems to go on about Truggy wheels being 3.2" and 3.8", so what's the crack? Are the Trophy wheels 4" or a very generous 3.8" and is this a standard? If so why are all the wheels and tyres I come across for Truggys generally 3.2"? I've currently got the HPI Shredder tyres on but am looking for something a bit more suited to off road use (grass, mud etc). The Proline Badlands seem to be well regarded but when looking at the 3.8" version they have massive side-walls and I was hoping for something more low profile but with a decent tread as wont a 3.8" tyre with a large side-wall end up being too big for a Truggy and more suited to a MT? Can you get low profile off road 3.8-4.0" tyres? Or is it the case that the 3.8-4.0" wheels on the Trophy Truggy are a bit of an anomaly and actually I should be looking at getting some 3.2" wheels and using tyres made for them which have a much larger side-wall such as the HPI Aggressor Tyres (#4892)? Also if I should go for a 3.2" wheel tyre combo what's happened to the Badlands in a 3.2" fitment?? Cheers Ryan
