  1. Couldn't agree more, Wheelspin have rip off delivery prices and don't even back up the overpriced delivery charges with quick delivery! From my experience with them they actually hold deliveries back if you've only selected the basic £3.50 service to artificially increase your waiting time to try and prompt people into paying the really excessive £6.00 charge! I've ordered items that are in stock and are tiny so only being sent in an envelope, selected the £3.50 delivery option and then had to wait 4-5 days for them to even be dispatched from the warehouse! I always try and avoid Wheelspin now and try to rely on Modelsport (if only they carried more stock), JESpares and Apex.
  2. Anyone have any experience of this tyre http://www.apexmodels.com/gbu0-prodshow/LRP65525M.html and any idea if it's a 3.2" diameter rim tyre or a 3.8"/4.0" rim tyre? As per usual with these model websites they don't give any of those really unimportant details like fitment or size...
  3. Thanks for the input, your not wrong it certainly is a mine field out there! I wish there was a little bit more clear info available, even when looking on ModelSport or Wheelspin many of the wheels or tyres listed either don't have any dimensional information or what they do have is incorrect! Just to clarify when I was talking about the size and I said 3.8" I'm referring to the diameter of the wheel not the width. Cheers, Ryan
  4. Right I'm in need of some help/info regarding my tyre and even wheel choices for my HPI Trophy Truggy 4.6 as I'm struggling a bit with lack of information out there and a lot of incorrect info as well... First thing is the size of the wheels, I've got the standard 7 Spoke Chrome wheels that come with the Truggy and I've measured them and they are approximately 4" across and 2" in width. Now this is a bit odd as almost all of the info out there seems to go on about Truggy wheels being 3.2" and 3.8", so what's the crack? Are the Trophy wheels 4" or a very generous 3.8" and is this a standard? If so why are all the wheels and tyres I come across for Truggys generally 3.2"? I've currently got the HPI Shredder tyres on but am looking for something a bit more suited to off road use (grass, mud etc). The Proline Badlands seem to be well regarded but when looking at the 3.8" version they have massive side-walls and I was hoping for something more low profile but with a decent tread as wont a 3.8" tyre with a large side-wall end up being too big for a Truggy and more suited to a MT? Can you get low profile off road 3.8-4.0" tyres? Or is it the case that the 3.8-4.0" wheels on the Trophy Truggy are a bit of an anomaly and actually I should be looking at getting some 3.2" wheels and using tyres made for them which have a much larger side-wall such as the HPI Aggressor Tyres (#4892)? Also if I should go for a 3.2" wheel tyre combo what's happened to the Badlands in a 3.2" fitment?? Cheers Ryan
  5. Isn't that basically just the same as the Losi Smart Diff, same tech behind it just a different manufacturer and just different enough to avoid patent issues....
  6. I just got mine from this eBay seller and it was delivered 4 days later!! Fantastic service considering it came all the way from HongKong and no VAT or Import Duty to pay.
  7. That looks exactly like my 4.6 engine and the box on my TT 4.6 also shows a purple head for the engine so I'm guessing that it's the right engine.
  8. I'll second this, it would be great to have a sticky thread with nothing but TT Hop-Ups, replacement parts and upgrades listed (no discussion, no banter etc...) with links to the relevant website to buy them. If the list was split into catagories that would be even better (suspension, drivetrain, engine, chassis, styling etc..).
  9. Whatever happens it's not going to be down to the OP as the 'fraud' (listing the wrong value of the package) was done by HK not the OP so he's got nothing to worry about...
  10. Payment sent. I've PM'd with postage address. Ryan
  11. I'll take it at the asking price. PM Sent Cheers, Ryan
  12. Thank you very much Arthyyyyy, with the springs is it the higher the Gf value the stiffer/more progressive they are or is it the other way round?
  13. Just wanted to sign myself up to the club as I've just got my very first Trophy Truggy 4.6, in fact my very nitro rc of any kind! So expect plenty of daft "how do I...." "where can I get..." style questions to be coming your way soon... First question for you all is about upgrading my shocks, I've read plenty about getting the Hong Nor 16mm Big Bore kit but this doesn't seem to be available any more. What other big bore shocks are compatible with the Trophy Truggy (D8T, Vorza, Trophy Flux Buggy Hop Up shocks)? Also if I get the ones I've seen on eBay that come in 97mm or 112mm, which do I need all 4 the same at 112mm? Cheers
  14. I'll take the Orion charger if it's still available please. Thanks, Ryan
