  1. yep deffo toygrade the bottom pic gave it away with the trim thingy for the steering, nice find though and deffo a bargain for 4 quid 🙂
  2. hobbywing max 8 bud, good bit of kit i have the 2200kv combo in my hyper 7, and my corally kronos has a rebranded max 8 combo. hobbywing max 10 is 10 scale and hobbywing max 8 is 8 scale etc i have a few of the ten scale ones as well and they never skip a beat, pure quality 🙂 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/hobbywing-ezrun-max8-g2-esc-combo-with-4278sd-2250kv-motor-1347107 something like that 🙂 yeh the heavyness of 8 scales is why the kv looks low more torque but they run on 4-6s so more voltage and gets the speed up,plus the sheer size of the motors 🙂 5 scale ones are the size of coke cans lol
  3. 1/8 scale systems are lower kv for the extra torque and the motors are much larger than the tiny 1/10 scale ones, they are by no means slow 2200kv is pretty fast for 8 scale, infact my fastest car is a 1/8 hyper 7 on 4s but it can take 6s i converted to electric from nitro with my hyper 7 🙂
  4. i grew up with tamiya connectors and i had loads melt on me and fuse battery connectors together, they are highly inneficient..... on nimh or nicad deans for 10 scales and xt90 for 8 scales at a minimum is what i use now 🙂 i tried using a deans adapter on my kronos to 8 scale xt90 with a adpater and melted the deans and xt90 together. straight out xt90 now on it now all all my 8 scales and deans are super superior to tamiya connectors 🙂 i use deans on all my 10 scales appart from my 2 grass hoppers 🙂
  5. gizmo and elsa with music 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/shorts/d_wYpnOzB_A
  6. i tried a 32 kilo or something etronix servo on my kronos and broke it on the first outing, turns out my servo saver was to tight, put in a old savox one and loosened the servo saver and it hasnt skipped a beat. put a 70 or 80 quid savox in my hyper st and that hasnt skipped a beat either and that is the most i would pay for one 🙂 buy cheap pay twice, i did manage to recover my etronix one sort off by replacing metal gears from other broken servos that also had broken teeth on differnt gears, it is in my tamiya dt-03 at the moment and i cannot turn the wheels one way by hand but it works fine when powered. from my experince its usually not the servo motors but the gears inside that cause problems by stripping on hard knocks cart wheels etc
  7. i used a bit of nitro fuel tubing on each of the shocks to act as spacers and stiffen em up a bit on my scx24 🙂
  8. if i had one i would bash the utter blah blah out of of it 😛
  9. think i would be comfy around the 180 quid mark for one of them kit only, the look of it is awesome for me but that price and no proper leccys with it is a hard nope considering the last tamiya i built was this https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/tamiya-konghead-6x6-g6-01-409212 and my hyper vse was rtr and 325 quid lol im guessing the roll cage is plastic?
  10. wow that is some skillful flying never mind the rockets, sea gulls would be like nope 😄
  11. yup amazon here too with the same ones stormbringer my dad mentioned gens ace are ok as well and msuk sells them but pricier 🙂
  12. main thing with nitro is noise even getting a new one broken in can be a massive pain if neighbours come out shouting, dad has a hpi trophy im gonna completely strip it as the parts are super expensive and it was getting leaked on in a dodgy shed, hpi are in a precarious position and are not what they used to be unfortunatly. leccies are a lot faster than any nitro now and a lot more quiet, i converted my hobao hyper 7 black to leccy and havent looked back, the power of 8 scale brushless motors is super stupid 😄 before the pandemic a hyper vse 100 amp rtr that runs on 4s could be had for 325 quid 🙂 we still have a few nitros but we never use them. get a hobao st over a trophy any day, its more robust and parts are more plentiful and a lot cheaper 🙂 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/hobao-hyper-st-truggy-rtr-26445 heres a video of the hyper st i bought second hand that also came with a esc and motor for a amazing price, it runs good and used to be nitro, that is just 4s and i was going easy on it as first run , the esc i got with it can use 6s 🙂
  13. looks awesome in the air dad and love the retractable wheels 🙂
  14. grab slightly older games on sale with dlc included like game of the year editions or complete ones, a lot of the time dlc is just nonsense and try the dark souls series for something very atmospheric and brutal 🙂
  15. wut? theres tons of console games that arent 🙂 try dark souls 🙂 or grab xbox game pass and try a load for a monthly fee, i use game pass on my pc for 8 quid a month 🙂
  16. i find at 'times i have to force my self to start playing something then i get hooked lol
  17. botw 2 should be a belter if its as good as the first one, got quite a back log on switch and pc, ps5, yet i cannot stop myself buying more games lol 🙂
  18. playing horizon forbidden west on ps5 at the moment and recently played a lot of dying light on pc and started dying light 2 🙂
  19. what model is that? it looks like there shoud be a holder on the front as well, to hold the bearings in place which in turn holds the shaft and gears in place. once the covers are secured dont over tighten them and then we can think about tight meshing etc. i assume the car worked good before u switched it to brushless? does the motor mount have a slot or fixed screw holes? it sounds like something daft which will be easily fixed, we all do daft stuff starting out and i still do 🙂
  20. merry hang over day all 🙂
