yeh deffo my bandit and possibly the rustler we bought from pieman here, he was speed running it so he might of replaced the slipper, no idea lol i do not have a habit of sniffing slippers so should be fine as they are the 2 models i have rarely opened up the gear box for as they just work 🙂

got a new beach caster earlier, first one i actually bought myself, says it can be used with multipliers or fixed spools as well was 80 quid 🙂 https://www.soniksports.com/product/vader-xs-beach/ went for the 13 foot one. went down harbour with dad earlier and we were very surprised to see it active with quite a few people fishing as well, got 6 small fish as usual between the new rod and my pike rod both using multipliers enjoying the new rod but want to get fishing with it in day time to practice casting it better then once i get better distance casting etc on it i can think of a more expensive beach one 🙂

not ran mine since i got a trx4 but saying that i havent ran the trx 4 in a while either 🙂

yeh was deffo a lot bigger than the usual ones, i should of had a look in its stomache contents to see what it was eating when i was gutting it oh well lol

woohoo thursday day was a mental fishing day for me, i was fishing at the local harbour around 1pm and caught a small fish plus a crab on my first cast lol by the time dad came down later after 4 pm i had caught 4 small fish and had just ran out of ragworm when he came down with the defrosted mackeral, good timing lol by the end of the night i had 15 fish 14 small and dad had 5 i think. the last fish i caught at the end was a cod of decent size for here any way and large enough to bonk and eat, which was a nice surprise lol the cod was eaten with in an hour of catching it and gizmo was going mental when i was eating it lol

had a 80 gram weight i lost got a whole rig back plus the weight lol using 60 pound flat fish rigs lol at the end of 60 pound braid and about 40 pound on the lines that diverge to the hooks 🙂

all crabs get let go, there was massive snag point from the harbour where i lost tons of green 20 pound braid, i re snagged it on thursday with my 60 pound braid line i got tons of it in with my pike rods including other peoples stuff like mackereral flies etc and loads of dads red line from his beachcasters from the time he had 2 beach casters snagged go pike rods i got massive vvclumps of weed out rooted and brought in 🙂

i also caught the smallest crab ever on thursday and dad came with me last night and we caught about 5 fish each but i had to bonk one of the small ones on the head, smallowed a pretty big hook but he didnt die in vain, i used him as bait 🙂

just came across this S, SX, STX, and BCX are made in China. The 7000 is made in Taiwan. C3, C4, CS, and Morrum are made in Sweden. now we know all the "abu" reels to avoid we both have 7000 ones and not had a problem, it seems to be the made in china models that are cheap and nasty (red one cost 98 quid and lasted a month) , hopefully some one reads this and doesnt get stung like we did 🙂

amazon refunded that reel even though i was about 6 days past the return window and i got a proper made in sweden abu the same size for about 70 quid more which was reduced, had a go of it earlier and christened it with a wee whiting 🙂 seems to be a really good reel woohoo 🙂 from what i hear abu got bought out years ago and the new owner has been putting the abu name on some cheap nonsense, Pure Fishing conglomerate of the United States now own abu garcia and are getting their cheaper lines like the sx i had made in china and clearly i got misled as did dad who also bought one, had no idea they had been bought out and to only buy the made in sweden ones for proper abu quality. extremly happy with the new blue made in sweden one though 🙂

major bummer, my wee red abu reel has messed up, if dad cant work out whats wrong it it which he might, was having fun catching whiting on it earlier 🙂 my order history says it was sold by amazon so should be easy to get a replacement a 5600 size abu multi, i guess i can use my 6500 one if needed untill fixed or replaced, also caught the biggest whiting we have seen on it, their getting bigger now but wasnt quite big enough to keep 🙂

brilliant reels them, i used a similar one on my first ever rod a green millbro fibre glass one, i used one of they reels and a rod for perioid correct spinning 🙂

had some fishing earlier at the harbour and caught a small fish on each of my pike rods and dad caught a small one on his 14 foot beach caster, ironically i was down there for quite a bit waiting on them to finish a opticians appointment after going first and seen 3 fish jump what i beleive were sea trout at the side of the harbour where it is super rocky and weedy. some pics of when i was waiting, wish i brought a rod and some spinners 😛

never had any problems with lights under the water 🙂 we fitted cheapo lights to dads pumpkin in the video and my lunch box and when we had heavy rain the pit u see was filled with water as was most of the garden, the lights never faltered, but my lunch box stock motor did after repeated submerged abuse lol the vid is from before we fitted lights 🙂

both the cars in my pics there only have em cable tied on, very basic single led lights but do the job for ripping about the car park in the dark 🙂

i beleive he knows more than me so that is already a good sign 🙂

we have been busy boys, been out 3 times this week with almost no wind or rain at the local harbour, tonight we caught about 10 fish each or more and some crabs, all small cod or cod family fish either polloc or whiting etc in the 3 days we havent had any worth keeping but its been fast and furious running between rods its like one rods going and ur watching it then the other one goes, so a lack of pics lol new rod i got earlier today 150 quid down from 300 abu garcia beast x pro 150 gram casting weight yesterday the daiwa moonraker dad gave me with my beast x 220 gram rod and reel i mentioned in another post 🙂 new rod in the dark, keep looking ill get to fish soon 😛 dads new blue beach caster there might be a bridge as well not sure? guess its time for midget fish 😛 ok i hear you all cry i will stop codding about and show you the best fish i caught which i havent caught down there since i was a kid. i present to you mr flounder 🙂 the little flounder lied to me yesterday he said if i let him go he would bring his big mates to see me 😞
