I could never afford Electric its Mobility that is paying for it bit of a come down mind you eg from a Ford Kuga to a Mokka my health has decided what I can drive now,good to read all your comments I reckon there could be a good topic discussion in the air,stay safe all of you and have great day on the forum...

In a way im a prime candidate for an EV car as work is 2.5 miles each way but i dont have a drive so cant charge at home and no place near here to charge, we do have 2 charging points at work but they are for office use and heavily over subscribed, on top of that i run older cars (62 plate honda) i just cant afford the EV

Sorry to hear that dude, some things to consider...

Try to get an appointment at your local Occupational Therapy department (hand therapy) if you haven't already done so.  They should be able to make you up some thumb splints, particularly useful when you're doing heavier / awkward work, really helps to protect the joints.

Look into high dose glucosamine, a lot of evidence that says it can really help.

Look into specific exercises for your thumb - a hand therapy OT would be able to help there.

Take a gander at the Versus Arthritis website if you haven't already, lots of good info on there too.

I get you there mate, tinkering and keeping them shelf fresh is were I get my enjoyment when it’s cold outdoors lol.

I didnt vote. And i wont vote. And as time goes on Im more and more satisfied with the fact that I didnt vote. The 'deal' should have been done before people voted, otherwise how did they know what they were voting for exactly? Ill be the first to admit that I dont know everything about the positives and the negatives for being in or out, and i dont think anyone will really know what happens until it happens, whenever and whatever that is.

I have the Beretta x4storm 177 but that started to leak,hence the new purchase,I have hit one rat on the backside I know I hit cause it jumped about 6 feet in the air,never saw it again lol have got a laser sight with the new one as well,I use to drop rabbits on Bardsy Island with BSA Meteor 22 mind you you had to hit em the head..

The old boy I garden for is 94 he is an ex Marine.I am ex army my self so we get on really well.He inspires me.

Well done, I changed an old boys taps years ago, he clearly fancied a chat, 4 hours later, he'd told me if his dropping behind enemy lines & showed me all the clips, it was fantastic talking to him, I'll never forget it. Plus he went BACK, for the d day landings, unbelievable a RL commando.
