I am waiting for just the bodyshell and wheels, which was promoted last Nov.

The sunset colour reminds me of my dream guitar; the Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus, in vintage sunburst.

My old mans got a red sunburst, shame to hear Gibson are now in financial difficulties and look to be filing for bankruptcy

 

Love the detail on the shell, but the chassis does nothing for me

Is that true, about Gibson?? I had no idea! How can one of the two greatest names in guitar manufacturing be in that position!?

Have you not seen their pricing?

I see Traxxas have gone and done the kit version their own way and included all the electronics too - including radio and all the servos.

Hmmm, looks really good. Those wheels look very nice, hopefully they will become available on there own sometime...

In this day and age we could rc like they did in the beginning. Brands just sell us a box of specialist parts and instructions to manufacturer the rest at home. Like in the first days. But we would be armed with the internet and china prices. China cheap stuff is getting better all the time mayb is already on par with what some brands inc RTR. 

 

Goolrc combos vs traxxas combos in 1/10 size the only difference is price and the cheap one has a fan already. Flysky i think is as good as spectrum already. They just need to work on design and feel. The funtion ime was better than spectrum. I only use spectrums but my kids flysky worked savox servos silently. Which shocked me into respecting them. 

 

Servos theres a million budget but good choices. 

 

Mardave could come back on top just reproducing its first kits and being awesome projects for us. 

 

Traxxas wants the opposite and is now busy making sure we cant even upgrade their rcs with 3rd party bolt ons. Every release its more obvious traxxas design teams 1st goal is lockdown and high wear high cost disposables all over the trucks. Im not intrested anymore. 

 

I like traxxas ofcourse and wish they'd build for the hobbyist like i think axial does.

Nothing stopping you upgrading a trx4, just like a axial.

 

have you typed Traxxas trx4 into eBay? Loads of different companies making bits for them

 

as for the flysky/spektrum debate, well that’s your opinion, it differs from mine so I suppose we shall have to agree to disagree I’m afraid.

 

i would suggest a little more research into the Traxxas trx4, it’s getting more and more popular, they even release it as a kit (very unlike Traxxas) and give 2 different licenses scale bodies plus the tactical unit, unlike most other that think and old crappy jeep is acceptable.

 

the x-maxx and trx4 have brought Traxxas a whole new revenue stream, and in both cases been very successful.

 

and before it all gets nasty, yes it has problems out of the box just like ANY other Rc.
