Does that ESC run 5S or is five cells locked out, like the new Traxxarse and Hobbywing ESCs?

Alun "assumes" 5s would work, but he doesn't know, 100%. He's well clued up though, so it's more than a wild stab.

It's 6s 'Out of the box',  as was the original kraton.  Hopefully the new ESC is up to the job as it was with 6s that owners had problems with the original.

 

It's worth noting too they've dropped to a more 6s sensible kV  on the motor.

Yes, 6s out of the box. It is a pretty amazing truggy for the price. Beats the e-revo on the track too.

There's been no change in motor kv? The *old* one is 2050kv and so is the new one

not had a chance to do anything about it yet   life is getting in the way  + i have a lot of deals to sort out.

I think i'll get one of these to replace the Typhon, it's bigger I think ?

I know there are differing opinions but i've never had a tougher 1/8th. It gets abused by my young lad and just keeps going. Had 1 servo, both front A arms and a wing mount replaced so far but considering the treatment it gets I think that's a very small list.

 

It's a car i'll never ever sell i've had too much fun with it can soon enjoy it's retirement. It looks cool too.
