A company that isn't afraid of updating  some dodgy parts.

... with reference to another perhaps .... ??? LOL!!

    Is this an E-Revo rival?

    Specs look pretty decent.

    What's the pricing like?

It's not good for a company to say some parts were not good. lol

with the shell on it looks like a revo   but that's as far as it goes really.

the price was £350 on the original one.  but i don't know if that has changed for this one.

MyDoddy is under the impression if you back order the existing Kraton from Modelsport that they'll ship you the newest version when it arrives (late next month I've heard but don't quote me).   Arrma are part of Hobbico, as are Durango - there UK headquarters are just down the road from me and had I been in the market for a new 1:8 I'd be tempted to give one a whirl.

There's quite an active owners thread for the Arrma 1:8's - well worth a read.

ITS.  NOT A BLOODY MONSTER TRUCK!!!!

I wondered who'd spot that first!  Quoted direct from Arrma, though personally I agree 100%.  Looks nice for a rtr though doesn't it.

Im wouldnt be too happy with the thinness of the rear part of the chassis, depending what material it is.

Im actually offended they've had the audacity to call it a Monster Truck!

Pretty sure this was discussed recently in the owners thread and the outcome was pretty reasonable:

Starting to hack me off, companies using the name of Monster Truck.... When it bloody well is not your typical Monster Truck. This IMO is a very nice truggy.

Thought I was a bit too subtle earlier on, so Guns sorted that out.

I'm also annoyed at so many calling truggies MT's when they haven't spent the extra to make it look like one.

Glad to hear I'm not alone!!

I have the Arrma Talion which is basically the same as the old Kraton apart from smaller wheels and its been great, the ESC is rubbish tho but ive owned it since mid december and the only damage was a cracked wheel......i like these 1/8th arrma cars :D

Yes fella your quite correct I emailed and spoke to the guys at Modelsport and on both occasions was informed if you back order one you will recieve the new updated version.. However they also stated that due to the change in model there would be a price increase and a new part number ? So make of it what you will ;)

I am lucky enough to have one of these coming for free !  But don't think for one minute I'll hide any weak points or flaws or cover anything up just because it was free I'll be looking at it like a paying customer ;)  You never know I might even stop calling it the Krapton .

Arrival date ate has been set for mid May but it may well change

I personally think it's more a monster truggy looking wise and quite like it but it's only a shell so easy to replace it ;)

Its not the shell its the fact it has a wing and wing mounts. Stupid stupid thing!

Lol you can remove them ;)

If all monster trucks looked the same it would become a tad boring IMO

At the end of the day if it performs like I want a monster truck to perform then I don't really mind how it looks as that's easy to address should you wish to do so :)

Let's call a spade a spade. This is a truggy.

Does it do 6s out of the box? Looks like it needs parts to do this.

    A Monster Truggy!!

Seriously nice cars. Super strong. Did an unboxing video of one with Tay Models... just before they announced this new one!!!! :crying:

Probably won't bother uploading the video now, old one is obsolete.
