New Axial SCX10III Straight Axle Kit

For rock racing and crawling enthusiasts eager to give SCX10 III vehicles maximum scale accuracy, Axial offers a straight axle kit that includes everything you need to convert the Portal Axle SCX10 III to Standard Axle. The SCX10 III Standard Axle Conversion Kit is designed for a 12.3" (313mm) wheelbase but supports all wheelbases, including 12" (305mm), 11.4" (290mm) and 13.9" (353mm). Adjustments to rear links may be required.

All of the parts required for the SCX10 III standard axle conversion are included — front axle, rear axle, links, and shocks. To make installation easy, the axles, links, and shocks come factory-assembled and ready to bolt in. Axial also includes oil for the shocks.

The kit's scale-looking AR45 standard solid axles feature ball bearings and metal gears for long-lasting durability. AR45 universal joint axles provide up to 45 degrees of steering along with smoother action for an efficient, high performing drivetrain. Hypoid differential gears are used, along with a 6-bolt locker in both the front and rear axles for strength and durability.

Included tunable, large bore aluminum shocks provide excellent dampening over dirt, gravel, rock, and other demanding off-road surfaces. A bleed screw helps to bleed air from the shocks during assembly for consistent performance.

All links are metal, and all pivot points are on stainless steel balls that provide dependable endurance. Give your Axial SCX10 III vehicle the most accurate scale looks to match its realistic performance on the trails with the SCX10 III Standard Axle Conversion Kit.

Possibly the most stupid release in recent times?

Why spend twice the amount of an SCX10ii on the SCX10iii with portals, to convert it back, just buy the SCX10ii and save yourself a bundle!

Not paying for that butt ugly JLU either

Axle stands under the frame rails??? I jacked my car like that when I took the front subframe off to change all the bushings to poly bushes

Yeah I chuckled at this too... It's just because they want to phase out the AR44 (SCX10 ii) axles and bring it all in line with the 3 model - no doubt there will now be non portal model options...

There are also other applications where the offset diff arrangement is beneficial or even required... Lastly, quite a few folk on the Comp Crawl side want to run mixed axle types....

    Still amusing mind..
