  2. Cogging can also stem from an inadequate battery. The motor wants to run, but the battery can;t supply the amps. Revving the motor with the wheels off the ground is under no real load, so it goes fine. Things are breaking down under load....so if it;s not the gearing putting too much load on, it could be the battery. What motor/ESC combo do you have in the truck and what battery type and rating are you using? A 1/10 scale could easily be running a brushless setup able to pull 60 or so amps. Run it on a 3000Mah 7.2V NiMh pack, and it won't be happy

  3. What's happening is called cogging, I'd check the motor connections but if you give it a push it'll start going it's due to the gearing been to high ratio (pinion too big) or because there's too much resistance in the drive system, remove the motor and if everything moves free I'd check the motor, if it's running ok I'd check the pinion tooth count and get another one with fewer teeth (but make sure it's the right one for the spur)

  4. Had a set on both my SSD Trail King and my SCX3 and they transformed the way they drove

  5. Had a good tinkering day yesterday, cleaned and serviced the front shocks, and shimmed the pinions in the axles - the rear is back to buttery smooth with one shim, the front is showing signs of higher wear, and although one shim did improve the lash, but still felt a tad rough so i may need to add the second shim, although it drives noticeably quieter now. Adding the second shim isn’t a major job, especially after seeing and feeling the state of the of the bearings, so I’ve ordered a fresh set of bearings for her, so i’ll be pulling the axles apart again to change those out, also figured that while i’ll have them apart again, i’d also had some weight up front, in the form of some SSD brass knuckles, weighing in at 71g each.

  8. You don't need much, it's not ment to be packed. What's in the kit is enough.

  9. Lithium grease is very very light, Tamiya AW is good stuff. Also look at Lucas red and tacky as that's quite thick.

  10. I'm not sure which diffs the R uses but if they are oil filled diffs then you can buy different oil in a variety of thicknesses that allows you to tune the diff as you want. You don't need much AW grease as it's very sticky.

  13. Didn't get round to mentioning, but I eventually bit the bullet and got one. Not bad so far. Put my SkyRc brushless combo in, and so far its running pretty sweet. Daughter loves it too, so that's always a bonus. Keep her busy while I'm swearing at my nitros.

  14. The TT-02T is the same chassis but with a few different parts to make it more off-road, from what I can work out it's a slightly different springs, bumpers, wheels and tyres. The shock tower is a different colour but I can't find another part number listed. The chassis, gear box, arms and shafts are all exactly the same part numbers. I hope that helps.
