  1. Just got this Schumacher Procat, had one when they were first released (1989?) would have been about 14, raced a bit at the Basingstoke track (Viables?), then sold it in 2002 for £50 rtr!. Now I have one again, planning on running it brushless, not sure what turn yet. A few bits to do, but really nice having one again.

  2. Soo I took my Mrs Maxx out. Now most of my RCs are pristine. The second theres an issue, I go above and beyond, spending probably too much replacing parts. Even things like scuffed bumpers and skid plates get regularly changed. My Mrs, isnt bothered. I show her things to buy. She asks does she need it, I say not 100% yet so she says leave it then….. however I must admit. She is right at times. This Maxx was bought used. It was very cheap. Completely RTR with a 4S Lipo and Charger. Its got some amazing upgrades on, but its not mint condition. The diffs are noisy, the servo whines, theres excess play here and there. I took it out to “test” it. I end up doing some of my most hardcore bashing. I was gutted not to have it on video. I abused it hard. It took SERVERE hits. Id have definately got shouted at for using her RC like that. It got beat and bashed. It ended the day working fully. The transmission is louder than it was so somethings not right. But what an incredible rig. I dont think there is a truck on the market that wouldve took that if im honest… i need to use mine more Also used the UDR, ill update my thread with that….

  3. Not exactly something I did today but was surprised (today) to see a familiar face (and some very pale looking legs) in the @Tomley RC video from EAST at the weekend.

  4. Nice early finish from work, so gonna take the UDR out whilst its (hopefully) quiet. Still not decided on it, so today will either end up with me selling it or modding it. Also gonna try the Maxx again this time on 4S. Recently shimmed the diff as it was slipping bad, but didnt replace a gear so it may be damaged. Initially it seemed cured on 3S so we will see

  7. Got some time in the sun to clean the truck down today. 1st time I’ve ver used a hose pipe to clean an RC car but it was the only thing that would shift some of the mud I’d picked up.

  8. Made a shortie flatbed for the Element Enduro. About £4 worth of aluminium, a sheet of styrene and some dodgy fabrication skills. Really can’t decide what I want to do with this truck. Not 100% happy with it, but it definitely helps with approach/exit angle. Hoping it might look better after a couple of coats of matte black. Might add a roll bar too?

  9. I had a fun day out at east anglia scale trail where I managed to empty three 5200mah packs in the trx4 and almost lose one of my boots to some mud, twice. Can’t say I’ve been to any other organised trail events before but I suspect I’ll be trying to get back to this one next year if I can. EDIT: forgot to mention that the bigger 4.7” tyres didn’t seem to cause any more issues with rubbing on the shell than the class 1 wheels so they ended up staying on the truck all day.
