  1. I can see parts of Derbyshire having their stone walls dismantled or a hammer and chisel taken to Black Rocks lol Keep an eye out for pallets, easy to work with, reasonably strong and they can add height with low weight.

  2. The location is quite a large spot suitable for 20+ largescale RC's so anything smaller would be fine. It's a mixture of field mud and sand so it's pretty fun in regards to surface. Here is the google maps link to where exactly it is https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Benin+Rd,+Andover,+Wiltshire+SP11/@51.2378992,-1.6328336,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x4873fb9308696e55:0xc1e95a8a20ea1b78 You travel past the nursery school on Benin road until you come to the first left after a housing estate, that then takes you down a country round and it forks, take the right turn and you are there. Nice and easy.

  3. For off-road racing fans, this machine delivers the best performance vs cost around! Shaft driven 4WD can handle just about any type of rough terrain with ease. Features large 100mm diameter tires on inch up wheels supported by aluminum oil shocks together with waterproof speed controller, brushless motor and servo as standard. The bathtub chassis is equipped with heavy-duty suspension, slipper clutch and metal diff gears in the high durability drive train that can take plenty of punishment from hard driving. Team Orion speed controller and brushless motor combine to deliver the power to take on any course as aggressively as you can. Adjustable toe and camber angles on front and rear upper arms and steering rod provide plenty of scope for fine-tuning your setup. For performance vs cost, this machine is a certain winner! 4. I've put the bed on it tonight, I've also added some of the little extras under the bed and made a custom box for the ESC, LED board etc.... To live in, now it all actually fits, it didn't before... May make a custom battery box too. I'm 99% sure I'm going to run this without the sides and the back... I just prefer it somehow, it also leaves scope for more potential things to be on the back and also be actually visible to people without having to look into the bed. What will go on there? I'm not yet sure. I may end up just buying a tarp for it and putting some fake 'shapes' under the tarp, you'll never see the items but it should look to scale. Also potentially thinking about some spotlights on the roof as well and maybe on the bed at the rear (one big one that rotates 360) but I'm still unsure yet, I have an idea in mind that should work, but don't know. Time will tell... I actually just ordered the new system today as well. Holmes Hobbies TorqueMaster 35T motor and Holmes Hobbies BR-XL ESC, motor may seem a little fast when the current one is a 60T but I want the option of a little bit of wheelspeed, especially if I decide to run on 4s. (which I might have to try just for giggles) (ignore the wire, the LEDs need to be plugged in again)

  11. It's done so there's a weak part that breaks when something goes wrong if they where metal chances are you'd break something more expensive to fix you probably can get steel gears but they won't be cheap

  14. Can't see it being a problem. Most of the course should be easily removable/changable anyway if you want to switch it up from time to time, so should be easy to get at any stray weeds.

  15. Don't buy those tyres, absolutely terrible. Better off with off road tyres on tarmac lol. And yes I have used a set on both front and rear.

  17. I only really order from the UK wearhouse and I've never had a problem with them. If I order Sunday evening I'll have it by Thursday at the latest. I've had a few problems before so I've used the live chat which at first I thought would be a waste of time but I was great, my problem was resolved within 10 minutes from logging in. With hobbyking they charge so much less than other companys so you can't expect their service to be A* all the time.

  18. Hobbyking are brill, but as with anything aboard,it takes longer than normal. They have international warehouses so the package will take longer (which did you order from?). You also have to consider it is out their hands now - The parcel has been sent with them yes,but it's down to the courier to do their work. As for the Parcelforce tracking i'm not sure who told you that information because the tracking info they supply normally show loads of info (When it's arrived,it's location, the current status etc)...

Well I don't know if this is a good thing or bad ;-), talking to my other half about getting the size of our garden as low maintenance as possible she said why don't you build the tank and crawler track to nearly the top of the garden put weed suppressor down and build on top of that !.well I paced it out and it's big but how am I going to fill that space !!!.here is the pics of how much I have to play with Now the hard work of planning what to do !!!

  29. For my lad when he started rc I drilled a tiny hole behind the trigger and inserted a small screw which is obviously adjustable and works great, this is assuming you don't have EPA

  31. Hong nor parts are easy to get, Loads of rolling chassis knocking about, Also, These 1/8 buggys are so alike these days, When it comes to wishbones, Uprights,Driveshafts, And a lot of the stuff that normally breaks, There pretty much interchangeable, And Hong Nor's are as strong as any other buggy on the market, It's a no risk buy. But the s50 really is a bargain.

  32. Some more details done on the cab. I've purposely done some little odds and sods quite badly, as I wanted it to relate to an army truck. I didn't want to go full camo with the paintjob etc... So kind of a modern twist almost and wanted it to retain some of that 'fix it on the move' charm that an army truck tends to have. So some 'mistakes' aren't actually mistakes In fact for some parts I actually sprayed them in a dusty enviroment purposely to add a bit of grunge under the paintwork. For how I wanted it, it's come out perfect!

  33. You might be able to sort it temporarily by twisting the black plastic part where the two linkages meet. So its sitting parallel to the air filter. Its only a temp fix though until it twists itself back again.

  35. i think the dual bleed pipe might increase power slightly if its a tuned pipe i like it

  36. It has nothing to do with the throttle linkage, you don't need to spend any money on a new one. The problem you have is with the carb, the km carbs are terrible for holding a tune, essentially it will be running as if the LSN is screwed in too much, even when it isn't. You money would be better spend on even a second hand 668 wall to carb, no matter how well you think you have tuned that km one, it won't stay that way for long and will be the cause of the issue 100%

  37. There's been quite a few threads about action/on board cams recently so thought i'd start a thread to collate all the info in one place. Would be great if people could post their findings about various cameras and any footage they've got. My first onboard camera was a #11 808 Keychain one, despite it's compact size it still provided reasonable footage For all the info you'll every need about 808's check out this website http://www.chucklohr.com/808/index.shtml There's also a V2 version ie http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-DVR-808-Micro-Camera-16-V2-D-HD-720P-H-264-Pocket-Camcorder-Video-Recorder-/160874297245?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_Video_Camcorders&hash=item2574daf79d whcih has a wider lens and and some nice fetaures like the ability to turn the timestamp off etc. Another camera I had was the MD80 which I got from 7dayshop but is now available via various online retailers inc ebay. I was able to remove the timestamp using a firmware hack and various mounts inc waterproof ones are available for it. Here's some footage I found, not by me. My best camera buy was the the AEE SD20 form Maplin http://www.maplin.co.uk/hd-action-camcorder-626370 it's basically a fake go pro but comes with a lot of accessories that the gopro doesn't, LCD screen, waterproof case etc and delivers nice footage. I also have one of these http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__17200__hd_wing_camera_1280x720p_30fps_5mp_cmos.html but have yet to get any footage from it but when I do i'll post it up. Next on my list is one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120924596006?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 primarily due to the fact that it takes AA batteries so easier/cheaper to carry spares. I also like the fact that it's waterproof out of the box.

  38. The Ansmann's have a very particular way of binding. You can not bind the TX & RX with servo's plugged in from the car. Firstly, unplug everything. Put your bind plug into the receiver slot. Plug in a AA or Hump pack into the receiver slot. (BEC or + -) Turn your transmitter on while holding down the bind button. Once the receiver stops blinking, turn everything off and plug in your servo's etc as needed. Job done!
