  9. I don't think its a hpi mini, its too wide and has turn buckles on the back (minis don't usually) and the tank isn't hpi either. The rear diff mount looks like thunder tiger to me but my eyes are tired!

  13. Lol, very good. You found a much better picture. I did ask the wife if she wanted a pair of those trainers for xmas but oddly she didn't want them!! Well, the Monster Hornet has finally seem some daylight... Ground clearance is pretty much a clear 60mm except the gearbox which drops down to about 40mm. Incidentally, from what I can glean on the web, those Stadium Blitzer tyres are 100mm so should work quite nicely. Tamiya also do some ribbed tyres without the spikes for the monster racer. Although I'm sort of getting used to how it looks now but think I'd rather keep it in theme! Haven't driven outside yet, want to finish the front lamps off first so it's complete. Cheers Nito

  14. Wind ya neck in buddy. No one as said its down to bad driving, were saying that legally he has to inform his insurence company that he's been involved in an accident. Im not having a go at him and feel really sorry that he's bumped his car.

  24. Hello guys and girls. Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I'm new to all this. Although I've had a losi night crawler and have got my own course behind my house and been playing with that for couple of years. I'm getting attached to defender rc's and would like to build one. But I have no idea what chassis people put them on?? To be honest I'd prefer to buy a fully functioning chassis just without shell, so all the drive and servo and receiver is there. Just want to buy and personalise the body. Any help would be much appreciated. Or if you have old unfinished projects you'd consider selling just let me know. Thanks very much in advance for any help. Jamie

  28. I give you ... RC Snail! Built along with my youngest child as a school project for an 'unusual car'. Powered by an electric screwdriver. Meccano tracks. Mechanical speed controller.....as I was not worried about runaways...crawlaways are a lot less scary! Paper-mache 'shell'. Ran pretty well. I was not allowed to add in a slime dropping system.....shame

  31. Just felt the need to rant about my Maverick Ion....... I LOVE IT. It takes everything I throw at it. Well almost..... Had this thing a few months now and it is just awesome. I have replaced a rear hub and the suspension carrier/main top piece. The parts are as cheap as chips. The shell is next but I tell ya what. Its seen some abuse and this thing just keeps flippin over and getting stuck in. Its super quick off the mark and very accurate to control. Got the snow piled high at the moment and keep launching this thing into next week and it just keeps going strong. The 800mA batteries last for about 12 minutes hard driving but I have 3 so happy daze. Its responsive, eager and just about unbreakable. It is extremely robust, do not under estimate the capability of this little truck it is just amazing. My neighbour thought he would scrimp a few quid so bought the Amax Mini Z....... Silly Silly Silly Silly...... Should have spent the extra few notes and got the Ion. He knows it..... Parts for the Mini Z are like Hens teeth. I call it my little neighbour saver as I'm sure they are fed up of the noise of my 1/6 scale MT. I would reccomend one of these to anyone.

  37. This set IS killswitch compatible and works very well so no need to rethink. Ive used mine for over 3 years with a killer bee kill switch with no issues and it does everything it should do and this is speaking from experience and not assumptions or heresay.

  38. This thread is getting out of hand, either behave or its getting locked. Yes we all hate dodgy people on ebay just use common sense if selling anything note it as "sold as seen", when you post items always send them recorded delivery. At the end of the day ebay issues should stay with ebay, rather than causing fights on this forum.
