    PS5 Games

Thanks for the suggestions guys, i really don't plan on getting elden ring tbh. I'll look into Uncharted, Ghost of Tsushima and Assassins Creed Valhalla 🙂 Has anyone played Deathloop and/or Returnal?

    PS5 Games

Hi all, recently managed to get a PS5 and looking for some games to get for it. Willing to also look into PS4 games released in the last few years. Already have Horizon forbidden west and cyberpunk 2077, but thats it so far. I prefer single player games that focus on story and exploration, and generally not a fan of horror stuff. Anyone got some good suggestions?
  4. No he doesn't actually. Showing what he has under the shell has no effect on the validity of the record. He's put ALOT of hard working and testing into this, why share that just for some other mug to come around and copy it? If your only argument against this record is that he hasn't shown what is he running then its a pointless argument. What he is running doesn't matter.
  5. James is a very well known and respected speed runner within the community and has loads of videos of his runs on his channel. Who cares what he has under the shell? This is the world record we're looking at here, there are no rules as to what you can and cannot run concerning the electronics. There's always going to be haters / trolls and it's a shame really.
  6. These days GPS is pretty darn close to actual speed trap results. Unfortunately its not considered an actual Guinness world record until the speed is verified through traps but id be very confident in saying this is now the worlds fastest battery powered rc (overall worlds fastest is still held by Tony's black knight hybrid rocket car) I've heard he has a set of traps so hopefully will be working towards a trap run in the near future. Of course we'd also love to have him at a UK ROSSA event, although not sure how viable this is.
  7. Back up for sale guys, hit me with some offers.
  8. Hi mate, as it happens i still have this shell! 😲 Its a bit beat up now but not bad at all really. Would you want it back? I don't think i have the wheels and tires anymore but the tires are HPI geolanders 👍 I also have some of the big EDS stickers like on the sides if you want those
  9. I'm using what i assume is a re-brand or copy of the first one you linked. If you are powering the booster from a separate lipo theres no danger of frying anything (assuming the lipo is the correct voltage) but i always turn on the transmitter first anyway and then plug the booster in. I'm only using a small 700mah 3s on mine, could probably do with something a bit bigger but its enough to last me for one days worth of ROSSA speed runs.
  10. Getting closer and closer to speed run time so i've made more progress with the Xray. The new much longer motor is in. This is a TP 3635 which is 3540kv and 65mm long. Its rated to 4s max, 178a and 2350w (around 3hp) I have geared this 25-41 to start with, this gives a theoretical max of roughly 177mph but realistically i'm looking for around 140mph. Also last year, Simon at Phat bodies was kind enough to make me a 2mm thick electra shell to try. Fibre glassing all the shells was becoming a real pain so having a 2mm shell makes it much easier. Its made of ABS so had to be painted on the outside, but still happy with how it came out and should perform really well.
  11. Luckily being a cheapskate kinda makes it more fun imo lol. Trying to go fast on a budget rather than just chucking a load of money at something just gives more of a challenge lol. You mean the super secret bike project that i definitely 100% made sure that i for sure undeniably never ever told anyone ever? 😂 Yeah i still want to work on mine at some point. Might send some drawings and get a few quotes. Making it yourself would be cheaper for sure, but i hate working with carbon lol
  12. Im a real cheapskate lol so i use the free version to draw it up, then i save it as a transparent PDF file. Can then open it in Inkscape (which is also free) and use a few tools to convert to a DXF. This method only works with 2D drawings though. Not tried Qcad im afraid.
  13. Next update to this project. I was looking at the rear of it and just thinking there was a lot of wasted space there. So i started experimenting with removing all the spacers and swapping the ball diff to a spur mount and a custom solid axle. The overall idea behind this was to fit a MUCH longer motor in it for more power and to work with more gearing. I drew up the parts (just using google sketchup) and saved as a dxf so i could send them off to be made. I have used Fibrelyte for a while now to do my carbon fibre parts and they are always very helpful and very good value too. I had the parts made from 2.5mm carbon and the postie shoved them through my door a few days ago. I always worry that custom parts a draw up will never quite be the right dimensions but i spent quite a while measuring all this up and it was all a perfect fit 🙂 Previously the maximum motor length i could fit was 52mm, now its gone up to 68mm. This means i can now run a 3635 TP power motor which is 65mm long and rated at 1400W continuous Vs 800W with the old motor. Huge power increase so hoping for a big PB next year WOOOO!!!
  14. About time i get my Xray in here. Car: Xray X12 2020 EU Spec. Setup: Hobbywing Max 6 ESC, TP Power 4600kv 3620 motor, Turnigy Nano-tech 2700mah 65-130C 4s lipo, Savox 1251 low profile servo, 19-44 gearing. Speed: Max speed i have on video is 118.06MPH, max confirmed speed at ROSSA is 126.61MPH (confirmed through the speed traps) Thanks @GMballistic for the video 😄
  15. Does it have to be 100% full on carbon fibre or would carbon composite do?
