  1. Give Richard Styles a ring at King Cobra Racing (formerly Rossendale Models), the guys there know FG's inside out and will be able to get any parts and upgrades you need for them. Richard's dad Bob brought FG's to the UK as a distributor around 1990 and they have sold them ever since.
  2. Update: bought a new shell Admin delete post if necessary
  3. Looking for a FG MT shell in good condition. My ideal colour is white but condition is more important than colour. Will also consider fibreglass providing it is a decent finish. TIA
  4. Be better off buying a used Marder and start from there if you wanted an FG buggy
  5. Think it was only used a couple of times. Is Lee Quarry decent for all scales of RC? Not been up for years - before they built the MTB trails. What do you take up there?
  6. I am thinking of having a look up but will be mid october before we have a free weekend. Is the old Rossmods track still up at Cown Quarry? That was ok but was bloody cold lol
  7. The casting needs trimming to make it sit right like this..........
  8. Anyone know where I can get a set of the wheel spiders from that grip the wheel for rounded off wheel squares?
  9. Fuel wise, if it was running rich it could have fouled the plug. Do you have a kill switch fitted? A low receiver battery could have cut the switch in and you wouldnt be able to start it until the battery was charged.
  10. New plastic hubs are cheap enough. Adjust the end point setting on your tx and see if that makes it any better
  11. It will be the rose joints needing to be screwed in a bit more. The 4wd conversion instruction manual gives guide dimensions and I seem to remember having the same problem on the first run out when I converted mine. Just done a quick search for a manual and there is a link at the bottom of this page........ https://www.5thscaleforum.com/vb/showthread.php/6729-Manual-for-the-4WD-conversion-for-the-FG-Monster-Marder-and-Baja
  12. Not been up there for years. Is it still rough as hell getting up the lane to the quarry damien? I will have a look up when it gets a bit warmer!
  13. Maverick blackout shell will apparently fit and they are only £60 ish. I am going to get 1 next month. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/maverick-blackout-mt-2013-pre-painted-bodyshell/rc-car-products/379208
  14. I forgot I took a punt on a Blue Bird 630mg throttle servo which is in my marder. Sure it has 14kgs of torque so was pretty decent for the brakes and never had any problems with it. Will probably just leave that in the marder and go with new for the bug though
