  4. I take it you work with iphones on a regular basis then as in repair etc?? They are made in China, pretty much the same as every other phone out there, anyway I'm not saying the build quality is inferior, just getting a bit fed up with this "built better than anything else" rumour, they break just as much as any other phone.

  6. Not sure how that works out, the iphone and ipod motherboards and connectors etc are made by Foxconn, who also make pretty much everyone else's motherboards etc as well, no difference really, best bit about an iphone is the screen and the OS, nothing else about it is any better, plenty of other twin core phones out there, many with better camera's and ones that are lighter or thinner.

  7. No their software is good. The hardware they use is no different from PC hardware.

  8. Mac has it pretty much buttoned up. You say they are more expensive BUT in fact they are not they average the same price as a pc of equal performance. NOT specification of hardware but PERFORMANCE. to get a PC to run applications such as photoshop, sony vegas etc etc. As well as a mac. You would have to pay the same out for a pc as you would for a MAC. Granted you could build it your self a lot cheaper than a store brought PC. but in this day and age and the ease of building PC's nowdays their is absolutly no need to be buying store brought PC's anyway. So to sum up wile you may look at the specs of a PC and compare them to a MAC, yes the Mac is alot more expensive but performance wise a MAC will allways outperform a PC if you had a spec for spec comparison.

  9. http://videos.cnet.c...video-40001915/ Been playing with a galaxy S2 today, and it is better than my new iPod touch on iOS5. So, so, so fast, and unlike my current phone (ZTE blade) it didn't ignore most of my finger presses because they weren't hard enough, or it was too busy doing something else in the background.

  15. You could afford to pay it back - you just can't now. Its worth remembering that! My wife and I are seriously skint right now. Very long story cut short is that right when this financial mess started, but before it hit the news, we got turned down everywhere for a routine remortage. It made no sense at the time, yes we had loans etc, but we always made payments and had clean histories. We decided we needed to clear our debts totally and started an ambitious repayment program. We could afford it, and we were due pay increases. Then the recession hit No pay increase, massive increase in costs plus the birth of our son means that suddenly our attempt to clear our debts is now swallowing every penny we have. There was no way we could have seen this coming, we just have to deal with it. Its going to be really really tight over Christmas. But in January the first of the loans is paid off, so thats a lot more each month, another finishes in May. The point is - you didn't create this situation. Deal with it however you need to, but never feel bad about it. The people who screwed our economy for personal profit are the ones who should feel guilty (but most likely don't), you shouldn't have to.

  17. There's an article by Richard Hammond in this months TG magazine about him buying an old KR1-S off the net and getting blown away by the all-or-nothing performance! He loves it, even though it's old and past it's prime. Nostalgia's a wonderful thing...............sometimes

  18. I await; with trepidation, the conclusions (and maybe even collisions) of your gloriously adventurous departure from the accepted "norm". Indeed it has even spurred me onto similar attempts of great courage; for I shall now go and attempt to get some lunch in a non-standard manner...... Ooh Wifey....... Wifey......??? Nope, just me here, oh well; this telepathy lark isn't all it's cracked up to be

  22. look at ways to cheapen the quote, take an advanced driving course, drive the lowest insurance group car you can find (even if it's a terrible, terrible car) and most importantly don't be a young male driver seriously though car insurance is a mess made entirely by the industry, there are things a foot in regards to changing it and enforcing more regulations but insurance companies being insurance companies will find a way around them eventually.
