Hi guys, been asked to look at a Tamiya Porsche R/C which came from son in law late father. I’ve had very little to do with this stuff, and wondering if anyone can give me a bit of guidance. The control is Carson reflex wheel, it has an electronic speed control with a servo for steering. When all turned on, there is no response at all but the speed control has an LED which continually flashes and the ESC emits a continual beep. Any pointers please?

Is this the radio, it may be the radio needs linking (binding) so the transmitter can talk to unit in car

Thanks very much. It’s a slightly different controller, but I’m sure procedure is the same. I will have a go as soon as I can.

also make sure the steering servo is plugged into channel 1 and esc plugged into channel 2 of receiver

You'll probably need to then calibrate the ESC to the Rx, usually straight forward.

This programs the full throttle, full brake etc.
