Popular Post .AJ.
After seeing a few of these on here lately I decided I needed one 😂 Picked a few parts up for it The plan is to keep the stock esc and motor, but I will be changing the steering servos for decent single one and sorting a external bec or direct feed 👍

Yorkshireman
TBH...I would love one of these myself but can't afford or justify the price...guess I'll just have to look at yours instead 🤣
BashingBrian
I'm so confused 🤔 what is it then...?? a monster truck, crawler or a speed basher 🤣🤣 it surely can't be all three..!!
.AJ.
It’s definitely not a speed basher 😂 I would say in low gear with locked diff its a crawler and in high gear with open diffs it’s a monster truck Anyway fitted the Traxxas Centre shafts Also the servo I’m going to use arrived today from Amain’s, more on that later 👍
Popular Post .AJ.
The (supposedly) unbreakable servo Got it set up and it bends stuff before the epa we’re set, at 6v it is 40kg and when I’ve hot wired direct off a lipo it will make 55kg, the plan is to beef up the steering components to get a proper use of the torque 👍 https://www.amainhobbies.com/shift-rcs-s2.0-waterproof-high-torque-brushless-crawler-servo-high-voltage-shf-s20-ste-sta-met/p1353215
.AJ.
Also just ordered a pair of lipos, bargain at £28 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08YN85JWD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I’ve had a pair of Black Magic lipos hanging about that I was going to use, but they have puffed slightly and flex the battery compartments, so I’m going to shoot them instead 🤣🤣🤣

.AJ.
Servo power bypass soldered up, I quickly tried it lastnight and it works perfect and the servo really is a beast 👍

Nick
Wasn't expecting you to actually post it in here. Big ol' 775 can, you going to brushless it?
.AJ.
No one has a clue where to post them, I did a search and they are posted in at least 3 different sub forums 😂😂😂 Im staying brushed for now, but I won’t rule out going brushless in the future 👍
.AJ.
This afternoon’s little project… I picked up a cheapo (£8) alloy steering set up, the plan is to only use the dual arm to get rid of the flexible stock part, also I’ve always thought that metal on metal contact is never a good recipe for a consistently working servo saver. Plus the stock front part is pretty beefy and doesn’t really need replacing imo…. Chop chop I’ll give it a coat of paint before fitting 👍
tomr
Good idea 👍 Once mine stockers go bad I think I’ll go that route
.AJ.
That’s the steering back together, I’ve also made up a beefier drag link out of some SSD rod ends I had, they use a 4mm screw thread instead of the stock 3mm, I’ll look to made another with metal rod ends when I find something suitable.. I have also bolted through the chassis for one set of the servo mount screws to make the fixing of the servo even more substantial And ive got one of these servo arms on order to finish up the steering upgrades
.AJ.
I’ve not written off going brushless, but it won’t be anytime soon 👍
