Newbie to RC and this Forum - I want to build 1:5 2 stroke RC Car

Hi all - I'm an engineer who loves messing with motorbikes, engines etc - during winter I'd like to build a 2 stroke RC car scale approx 1:5 (not sure if they are classed as Baja)

 

I've done lots of searching on the web, I can find details on engines from companies such as ALX but not on any kits to get me going

 

Any help or direction would be hugely appreciated

Hi. I'm not aware of any  manufacturers that make a 5th scale car in a kit form. Ones I have seen are all fully built ranging from cheap and virtually throw away ones to expensive decent ones. There are as you say Baja also on road cars, short course trucks, buggy and monster trucks that are either 2wd or 4wd. How much is your budget and is it for a 2wd or a 4wd on road or off road vehicle?

like mack cant think of any you could fab a custom from scratch or buy a roller etc not many options for kits on 1/5th in rc unless theres a few racer kits which would be very costly have a look at brands like FG HPI LOSI etc and see how easy a scratch build would be 👍

Take a look at Taylor rc, they have all the good stuff there but be prepared cus it ain't cheap 😁
