Looks like Modelsport will be selling it for £309, more like it but still a tad high, Texan is £289 and possibly better at trail and crawling  having no shell at rear to get hung up

Agreed - personally I’ve driven neither but the Texan has had great reviews for its capabilities - I’m sure it’s a difficult place in the market though as there’s so much competition there, especially from Element RC…

The rgt looks far better in that colour scheme.

You could trim the arches out a touch on the shell, tune the suspension a bit so on full compression it just clears the shell. Or get some smaller diameter tyres.

you should do a review thread on your ownership so far, I’d be interested to read up on it for sure :good:

I will definitely do some reinforcing of the shell and maybe trim arches slightly. Front seems to be main issue. I will try to lift it a little bit. Time allowing I will do some better review. So far, I can say that it is very capable off road and looks ace😁

I received my FTX GEO yesterday and wow what a lovely vehicle.......  Except the paintwork and sticker placement is awful. I have gone back to the seller to see what they can do for me in that respect.

In a nut shell

Blemish on bonnet drivers side

Paint has not stuck and there is a little bit with no paint what so ever on the drivers side A pillar - it looks like a spiders web.

On the rear door, the paint has lifted around the top mount for the spare wheel

Rather wobbly red lines above the rear side windows

Stickers are poorly placed and not straight in places - front windscreen for instance

White circle on lower offside rear housing.

Black marks just behind both front wheel arches

Swirl of red in the white on the roof

Price was £298 plus £10 Saturday delivery. Not driven it yet, will update you all with what the store say.

Shame it had to go back, will you choose a different model

I think so, I was keen on the HPI Venture when it came out, but now thats discontinued, the Geo was the obvious replacement, but QC was not there.  I like the ideas of crawlers fitted with lights and the idea of motor and battery up front for added realism. Will see if my budget of £300 can find something I can take into the countryside for a ramble, rather than to the moon!

Look at Element RC Enduro trucks or HPI Venture series

I think Nitro-tech still have the FS racing SCX10 clone and have to say its a superb rig and well under i mean well under budget, i would buy one if i did not already have one  https://www.nitrotek.co.uk/rc-cars/electric-cars/fs-racing-1-10-scale-rc-rock-crawler-with-pc-body-shell.html           if the shell is not to your taste easy to change to another shell and this is an SCX10 II under different name

Whatis the workmanship on the FS Racing body/chassis like - seen a review where all the stickers were  placed low, missed or not even straight?

You need to keep in mind your getting an SCX10 II for a lot less money as it does  not say Axial on it, Nitro-tech put some stickers on but i removed all there stickers, just having the factory screen printing, had mine a long time and its worked perfect

I have been on a Yorkshire RC Beasts meet up today and a young lad was running a Geo, as you can imagine a kid has not got a lot of throttle control it tends to be flat out and he had lots of tumbles, zero damage other than a tyre popping out of beadlock, this truck did really well
