Arrma Big Rock 4x4 3s

Having some issue's with my Big rock,  got it from another seller

Will run great for 5/10 minutes or so and then all of a sudden it will cut out. Steering still works fine just no throttle. ESC Flashes red.

Turn power off and on again and it runs fine?

Any ideas? using 6500mah 3s Lipo.

Sounds like LVC could be cutting in -  is your lipo fully charged?

Could be that you have one of the dodgy esc's that cut at 3.8v. Try running on nimh mode with a voltage alarm.

My senton stops with the lipos cells around 3.8v. I was going to ask what level the cutoff should be as I'm new to electric. Do i need a new esc?

Mine did the same so I ran it in nimh mode as I said. I think the cut off should be 3.4......the trouble with the BLX 100 is you can't alter the voltage cut, only select between lipo & nimh.  In the end I bought a Hobbywing MAX10 SCT but, you could always try a warranty claim if it's a relatively new car.

Yeah mines brand new so I'll look into getting a new esc on warranty.

What do your batteries cut off at in NIMH mode? Is that dangerous?

Sorry for thread hijack!

in nihm mode lvc is off and it will run the battery completely flat thats why earlier in thread he recommended if doing that use a low volts alarm
