Popular Post mydoddy69 Posted January 15, 2021 Popular Post Share Posted January 15, 2021 So with lockdown upon us again what better time to revive my love of micro RC’s Had a look at all the usual rtr stuff but I’ll be honest nothing took my fancy then quite by chance I stumbled across a vid on YouTube and I was hooked instantly. Now these kits are tiny 1/32 models so there going to be a tricky build fitting in electrics and dealing with the hardware lol but just take a look at them OMG there a thing of beauty and best of all there a kit ! Popular Post mydoddy69 Posted January 19, 2021 Author Popular Post Share Posted January 19, 2021 Great service from Drone Junkies 👍👍 Arrived well packaged and boy is it a micro 😂 Seeing as parts and upgrades are cheap I thought I’d get a few tweaks to it, went with upgraded shocks and some wheel weights and treated myself to a new 0.9 driver. Motor wise I wasn’t too sure so went with 2 different ones 😂😂. Servo was a 2.2g one and order the esc / control board. Nice bonus was there was a lipo in the box but I think it’s going to be too big but nice they throw one in 👍👍waiting on some smaller lipos and a rx but more on the rx when it comes as I’m not 100% sure it will work. Kit looks well made but omg there’s some tiny parts to deal with full ball bearings mind no bushings which is a nice touch. Gonna dig out my old Micro t tools and source a tiny head for my soldering iron as yep there’s lights included although they need soldering 😂😂. I'm half way through building my 2nd one. The doorok from tiny4x4 is excellent. NOFX Posted January 23, 2021 Share Posted January 23, 2021 If you're on Facebook, have a look at "Orlandoo builders guild". There's loads of hints on there. Lubing up the shocks helps. I used graphite oil that I use on my mountain bikes chain. Tiny4x4 is the place to go for hop ups & spares. I guess that is one of the issues of a small niche vehicle, you are sort of forced into buying what they sell, but if it works, it works.
