Ah right, fair enough mate. Well if it's either one, 15 or 18kg, hopefully it's still up to the task, but if they aren't waterproof then I'll probably be replacing mine as well. Or just try to never take it out in even slightly wet conditions... if that were possible in this country lol.

That's a sweet looking shell. What's the thickness like - is it thicker than the WL toys stuff? Looking forward to footage of this, still have a soft spot for them!

Cheers mate 👍 and yeah it's surprisingly thick actually. Probably twice as thick as the WL bodyshells and thicker than my Maverick shells too. The only model I own that has a better quality body is my Losi LST2 from 15 years ago, haha. Hopefully ill have some footage to share in the next few days mate 🙂

That would do real nicely with a couple of little spot lights up front to create a bit of seperation, but that's a subjective opionion 😄

Is that a M3 bolt, and if so is corrosion hiding the thread? I'm wondering if you could find another M3 bolt locally that'll fit - if you measure it I'll see what I have in my spares.

The other bits I ordered have been dispatched. Estimated delivery date 2nd June.. could be worse I guess, lol.

Unfortunately couldn't find the front bumper parts in orange so had to get them in this silver/grey colour.

Also decided to get myself a 25kg servo to replace the current one when it goes. It's only 9kg anyway so not really enough torque for a 1/8 truggy and I don't think it's going to last much longer tbh.

This one should be much better though 👍

This helps to understand the difference in terms of car feel and handling characteristics

So as I said above I've finished rebuilding it with the new bits and it seems to be working well. Haven't been able to take it out for a test drive yet because of the poor weather but hopefully will sometime this week.

Anyways, few pics below of the process & a short vid.

Sweet man, glad it's running again. The wait hadn't been too long either. Really looking forward to seeing this run 🤪

Thanks man, me too 😀  & yeah Banggood delivered the bits quickly this time round and it was also easier to rebuild then I first thought. I thought I was going to have to drill out & re thread that rear mount on the front section, but luckily I had a new one because i'd ordered the front facing mount and they come in pairs. I'm looking forward to taking it out for a proper run again as well, just need to make sue it's all set up correctly as there's a few things bugging me still at the moment.

Thanks James, since my last comment in this thread I've put a lot of thought into it.

I'm looking at the ZD BX-8E + 4274 motor + 150A esc, I guess even if I don't break the magical 100mph barrier with that setup, it'll still be a right hoot 😁

Funny you mention that, that's exactly what I did before Christmas and I have had issues.

First off, I shoud say it drives like a dream., when it's working. However I've had a problem with the motor mount moving out of position, ultimately resulting in what you see in these photos.... (finally ended up fully  knacked today)

So, that's £20 and a wait for a new chassis plate. And I am thinking a couple of steel or carbon fibre plates bolted top and bottom to screw the motor mount into.

Other than that I'm dead pleased...

It's been a while since i've used mine now.. I look forward to getting back out with it again this spring. Roll on the good weather please!

EDIT: Decided to charge a couple of batteries up and take her out for a spin 😁 it's quite nice out there today, tad chilly though
