R46 Posted January 11, 2018 Share Posted January 11, 2018 (edited) Gots me a tamiya trike for a giggle, starting off as to continue I installed bearings where ran bushes i.e. transmission,pivot shaft an front wheel. I also opted to run brushless but kept in mild state for now 60a 4500kv 2s luckily the cells I use for hobbyking gokart fit snug in trike very limited space. I originally thought was 380 myself, so my plan was to use 13.5t mongoose system had put aside but motor is to huge for gearbox opening requires serious cutting of material, had plan b with losi motor an hobbywing esc. R46 Posted January 14, 2018 Author Share Posted January 14, 2018 Ran pack minus body, Find 4500kv far to mild for me outdoors an came across motor forgot about turnigy 2430 nice neat fit (had to sightly widen one of screw holes to mount motor) initial run had cogging due to dry solder joint on a bullet, so did temp fix an wasn't to impressed, resoldered wire/bullet an thought be same outcome oh was I in for shock now we're got some go an oh yes there's been some wheelies too now to get painting body Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
