Hitec Mighty Mini servo - Doesn't fit into LC micro?

Sold my mini 8ight (sad face) However kept the Hitec mighty mini digital servo to go into my LC.

 

I've gone to fit it today and the little blighter doesn't go!

 

The servo is mounted the other way around on the mini 8ight (steering horn to the inside) however on the LC it's conventional way around, However due to the Hitec being a tad deeper (2-3mm) It fouls on the centre shaft :doh:

 

Has anyone modified one to fit or are am I going to have to stick to the stock setup? It's an awesome little servo really will be miffed if it won't go into the LC chassis, I want my mini 8ight back :lol:

Unless you can move it forward and secure it with strong servo tape instead of using the servo mounts then the stock one will have to do for now
