evssv Posted December 7, 2017 Author Share Posted December 7, 2017 (edited) sum progress made today..jus bolted lighty together for now...as I'll need to fit the lipo boxes when they arrive......i thk i can make sum motor plate braces up as i got sum ally chassis braces here spares......c'mon post man..bring me sum bits.........brakes off gear box out..... need to swap that plastic horn thats better the idler gear has jus turnt up....so that the gear box done my chassis braces aint gonna work for motor plate ones so i will need the proper ones i guess...don't wanna bodge anything.... evssv Posted December 7, 2017 Author Share Posted December 7, 2017 (edited) so I`m not really happy bodging this with a screw ... so I`ve found a tidy old 2speed box here so I`ll use this hopefully as per this vid soo...3 speed crap on left...2 speed on right...so glad everything is interchangable between the savvy range..... idiler gear made up top 3 speed swapped for the 2 speed bits 3 speed lower gear skinny.... 2 speed chunky.... gear box finished...but i will need to swap the gear on the spur shaft for the hd one soon..... evssv Posted December 10, 2017 Author Share Posted December 10, 2017 so....this ones going 6s with 4274 leopard 2000kv and hobbywing ezrun150 pro out my xl flux.......I had to file down the 2x bars in the motor clamps as the leopard was a touch to small to clamp properly as I had sum gorilla tape wrapped round it in the xl..... so motor mounted an meshed these rubbed on the tyre on the xl so I better sort it out I guess plus chop inch n half off the wires as there a bit long tbh.....plus sum liquid refreshment helps.... that's better... I want a project but think my baja killed it now I'm debating just selling the baja gritted teeth losing 100s on used stuff. Or do i just crack on and keep going with it. Inc the 40cc engine if reasonable. The deal on the day prices lol. I always wanted it to be a beast baja and got it half ready atleast inc tr quik diff and diff saver plus hpi internals mayb SS ones idk. But they came used from a hpi. I need to walk the dog more and check out the beaten paths. So far i can find much. But oaps in this village. Theyll drop skids with a baja on the feild. If call it that lol. Baseball park sized. But im hearing whispers the jcb plant has a proving ground here at the hq. If i can get to that it should be amazing. But cant find it on Google earth. Jus farms and water bodies rivers and streams crisscrossing the village. Ide buy a boat but i cant swim. Last time someone said i wouldnt need to swim. I ended up on the bottom unconscious arms up standing eyes open apparantly. Luckily my mate could swim lol. So i stay away usually.
